Sinister Remains is a carefully constructed indie horror game that feels dense and intense despite only lasting around an hour. The story is a bit complex to follow and leaves a lot open to interpretation, which I personally enjoyed. The puzzles are fun and satisfying, but the game definitely does not hold your hand. At times, this can become frustrating since it is possible to get stuck without much guidance. One clue especially looked more like the Pi symbol than the number 76, which confused me for a while and made me keep trying 314 or just 3 as possible combinations. There is also a 3D platforming section where you need to move the “ball” that felt particularly difficult — it took me around 7–8 attempts to finally beat it. As for the horror, there were moments where I was genuinely afraid. Veteran horror players might find the scares average, but for a more casual player, the atmosphere is definitely creepy and effective. If you are looking for Resident Evil-style action, this might not be the best fit. But if you are after a horror environment with an intriguing plot, you may really enjoy it. The environmental tension and story stand out the most. Considering this game was made by a single developer, it is genuinely impressive and absolutely worth every penny. Looking forward to seeing the developer’s next projects, hopefully longer but with the same intensity.

Amazing indie horror game

Türkish below **Good game, but unfortunately with serious bugs** Warning, slight spoilers: I was in a room where I had to count the knives in the bed in order to open a chest afterwards. Luckily, I had already figured out two numbers of the code. However, when I tried to open the chest and pressed “E”, I could no longer exit the code view. I was forced to enter the code. Since I only had two numbers, I basically had to “guess” or “hack” the rest, which worked in the end, but of course it was not ideal. After that, I received a cassette. However, I could not insert the second cassette into the video recorder. It showed the option “Insert”, but it did not work. Later, I tried to load my save file, but I was sent back about one hour. The save file did not load properly. Instead, I only heard a phone ringing constantly and could not do anything except close the game with Alt+F4. Repairing the game files through Steam also did not help. Because of this, I unfortunately had to refund the game. Still, I do not want to leave a bad review, because the game itself is really good and has a lot of potential. Don't waste your time with this game it's not finished and it's glitched. There is no hints or anything on what to do, so you just run around forever with absolutely no knowledge of what to do or where to go. I think the Dev forgot to add instructions to the game. Unfinished game. Requested a refund. Game doesn't work. I play a lot of strategy and horror games with complex puzzles but this one, I believe is unfinished since you are legitimately stuck with nowhere to go.

Very nice game. Sorta PT-ish/Visagey. May seem a tad predictable story wise. Has a decent twist. Graphics were very nice, I thought the music audio could be a little louder. No loud jump-scares. A little over an hour to complete. Looks like the dev's first game? If so. It's well done. 8.5/10

Но как то показалось коротковатой, рассчитывал хотя бы на два часа поиграть, а вышло на час с маленьким хвостиком, хотя локации вполне позволяют это сделать, а цена это уже предполагала. Атмосфера и аудио оформление на хорошем уровне, а вот скримеров маловато. Поставил положительный отзыв т.к. на отрицательный не тянет, но игра могла бы быть лучше. Oyunun hikayesi ve mekanikleri çok başarılı. Hikayesi kendine bağlıyor, bazen gerçeklik algımı yitirdim. Oyunda çok ters köşe var özellikle son sahne de şok oldum. Şiddetle tavsiye ederim.

The game is genuinely incredible. The psychological horror builds up gradually, and at some point the tension becomes absolutely overwhelming... While playing, I started getting paranoid and constantly looking around, asking myself things like “Is something going to appear?” or “Is something watching me?” Also the fact that things inside the house keep subtly changing is such a great detail...

Normalde yürüme simulasyonu korku oyunlarından nefret ederim. Sebebi çok korkmam ve sonraki saatlerde aynı korku anlarını yaşattığı için çok sıkılmam. Milletin çok övdüğü layers of fearı bile sevmemiştim. Oyun Layers of Fearden esinlenmesine rağmen ondan çok daha iyi iş çıkarıyor. 1.Bulmacaları gerçekten zekice. Bazı bulmacalar zorlu olabiliyor ama çözülmeyecek kadar kafayı yedirtmiyor. 2.Korku ögelerini güzel yerlerde kullanıyor ve gereksiz jumpscareler kullanmıyor 3. Normalde eksi olur ama bu tarz oyunlarının kısa olmasından yanayım. Oyunun süresi 1 ile 2 saat arasında değişiyor ve bu çok yeterli süre. Tam baydım derken oyun bitiyor. 4. İnsanı merak duygusunu körüklüyor. Özellikle hikayesi bakımından silent hilli anımsattı.Finali çok aceleye gelmiş olsa da genel olarak beğendim. Özetle oyunu genel olarak beğendim. Özellikle tek başına yapan birisinin geliştirmiş olduğu bir oyun. Buna baz alarak oyunu ona göre beklentide olun. Türü sevmeyen beni bile oynattıysa türü seven birisi kesinlikle oynamalı .
