About
Return to the world of medieval trade and ambition.
Step into your caravan master’s boots once more in Silk Roads II: Paths of Fortune — this immersive trading simulation expands on the beloved original with deeper systems, dynamic world events, and a rich cast of characters to command and contend with.

Each journey is its own challenge.
Choose specialized animals and companions to traverse deserts, mountains, jungles and more. Discover new cities, develop your own routes and encounter obstacles on the paths of fortune.

Recruit unique characters from across the Silk Roads, each with their own traits, skills, and personalities — complete with both benefits and drawbacks.
Negotiate their contracts, manage their morale, and help them grow in experience and wealth… or risk losing them to rival caravans.

Deal in a wide array of goods across cultural and regional lines, from rare Cathayan silks to steppe furs.
Earn the trust of cities and factions to access their most valuable wares — reputation is everything when chasing fortune.

Managing a caravan is more than buying low and selling high. Assign tasks like foraging, guarding, or repairing — but don’t forget to rest your crew. A tired caravan is a slow and vulnerable one.

Cities go to war. Markets crash and surge. Roads become perilous or profitable.
Silk Roads II features a living world that evolves as you play. Events can open new opportunities or cut off familiar paths — and your decisions can shape the outcome.

Return to Venice to buy back your stake in the Colleganza, increasing your share of the profits.
But beware — the more skilled your companions, the more they’ll demand a cut for themselves.

This is a strong concept but feels incomplete. The cycle of quests is relatively the same, there is one character model for each culture, and I don't feel like the game drives players towards any real meaningful goal or outcome. I believe that with unique character models, quests/dialogue, and locations this would be a really excellent game and well worth some time and money, however the game as it stands feels incomplete.
Game is fun definitely worth $10 if you like these kind of games. Would love a world map though.
It's a cute little trading game with great flavor and about the right price.
An excellent game ! Graphics and style are nice and game runs fine. Also, interface is simple and efficient and overall gameplay very pleasant. You're sure it turns on any computer and it's really cheap for the numbers of hours you can play if you're into that kind of niche game.
This game needs some improvements and quality of life improvements, but at this point it's quite enjoyable. I recommend it.
Fun, Easy to understand, and a great improvement on the first game. Definitely recommend.
I really liked this game. Nice art and atmosphere. Looking forward to its development!
Definitely not for everyone. Its buggy, and a little rough around the edges. I still would recommend it, though. Because the vibes are immaculate. Its a great little medieval trading simulator.
The games potential is awesome and I will definetly keep tabs on it, there are multiple draw backs though. Quests aren't very worth the effort mid-late runs and it is never worth taking a long quest simply due to the time given for the quests usually, I'd say increase the long quests by a month or so. Other tweaks could also be directed torwards some balancing, I've found the jungle terrain is almost impossible to traverse even with all the right animals it takes much longer to get through making it wasteful to attempt inner India exploration unless you've got 70 days of food stored. I understand the attempt to make realism for traversing through a jungle but in the current game state it doesn't allow enough depth to make the jungle fun in a challenging way. Maybe just lessen the severity of the jungles effects on animals. Purchasing equipment also didn't seem worth it, the decay rate compared to your possible repair rate even with 5 hammers is tough to keep anything long surviving. Another question is why the limit of 5 party members? I would've loved it to have a specialist for the camp categories and having a couple more terrain specialist. Possibly tie the expansion of party size to either levelling your character or at the venice station? My last issue is that the guarding system seems both broken in a bad way and overpowered, I could have one point in guarding and eventually it rises to a constant 1000 guard spare for events yet at the same time when I put enough guard to make the positive event 100% whilst the negative event -100% I still have a chance to get the negative event? Might just be a bug in the numbers. Okay genuinely the game is enjoyable though, I hope you keep working on this game because I had a blast. This game would be a great game to play in the background currently whilst doing other tasks. The artstyle is simple but is perfectly fitting, the vibes given is definetly perfect for anyone that likes medieval and trading. This is one of the most unique games I've seen for the time period and it does itch the right spot.
I bought black pepper in India at 60 and sold it in Athens at 1200. Everyone in my caravan died on the way, I even had to sacrifice the donkeys. But it was worth it. I bought 100% of my company's shares and retired like a king.
