SIGNALIS

C'est un bon survival horror, je ne partage cependant pas la liesse populaire. Le sound design est très chouette, mais je ne comprends pas l'engouement pour la bande-son somme toute simple, discrète, peu présente. L'histoire est très cryptique, même en lisant tout j'ai eu du mal à m'impliquer dans un monde trop mystérieux à mon goût, sans comprendre vraiment les personnages. Je n'aime pas trop le système de fin, où il faut refaire le jeu pour avoir la vraie fin, ou finir le jeu un chronomètre à la main. J'ai apprécié le gameplay et la structure, avec des énigmes qui s'imbriquent style metroidvania, qui demandent de réfléchir juste ce qu'il faut sans jamais vraiment laisser bloqué. La direction artistique est bien maîtrisée, efficace dans son style. Difficile de ne pas le recommander, c'est un bon jeu, mais loin de me marquer comme il l'a fait pour d'autres.

at the rime of review i had only recently finished playing the game a few days prior. despite this, i feel as if this game will go on to effect me for years to come. mild spoilers of signalis, if you haven't played i suggest you go in blind! Signalis is a game where you, a biodroid called Elster, enter a facility to save someone, along the way you find out something went horribly wrong in the facility as other biodroids (known as replikas) have become corrupted in horrible ways. you go deeper and deeper into the facility as you unearth what happened to the replikas, lore about your worlds, lore about yourself, and find out what your promise was. i love the gameplay in this game, the inventory system makes it so you need to think carefully about what you carry as you traverse the corridors, which you *Will* be doing frequently so make sure you got enough ammo to put down threats that may come back from the dead. 10/10
