About

"The only thing worse than being alone in the dark is finding out you're not..."

Shuttered is a horror game that that gives you nothing but the an old camera to defend yourself. Use the flash to briefly light up the corridors and hope that you don't find something staring back. Find and rescue the souls of the innocent lives that were taken there whilst avoiding a variety of demonic entities intent on making you their next victim.

Procedurally Generated Levels - Every attempt will have you navigating a different set of twisting corridors ensuring you can never get too comfortable.
Light is a Luxury - No flashlight, no sun, only an old camera to flash and light up the halls ahead of you for a brief moment. What will you do if you reveal an approaching monster and, more importantly, what will you do when the light goes back out?
3 Different Monsters - Encounter different monsters as each level gets more intense. Every new enemy you face interacts differently with you and the light so learn quickly what to do to keep them at bay.
Dynamic Enemy Movement - Enemies use a procedural movement system to inhumanly drag themselves through the claustrophobic environment.
Simple but Challenging - The controls and mechanics are easy to learn, but that won't make the game easy. As each level progresses, the monsters get more and more aggressive meaning one wrong move could be your last

A Police Investigation Gone Wrong - Play the role of Clara who has taken it upon herself to find out what happened to a group of missing people. What connection does Clara have to this case and why does she keep returning to the scene of the crime?
Cameras Capture the Soul - An old superstition that might have more truth to it than anyone realised. If a spirit is trapped, unable to move on, maybe a camera could bring them some peace.
More Than Meets the Eye - Where did these monsters come from and what do they want? There is more to uncover here than you may realise.

Nostalgic Horror Atmosphere - The visuals of Shuttered are faithfully designed to reflect the visual style of the survival horror classics from the 1990s. Experience a familiar but uncanny horror experience.
Look Through the Lens - The lens of the camera will reveal more than your eyes can see. Look through your camera any time and reveal what would otherwise go unseen.
Minimal UI - The very minimal user interface will help you feel immersed in the world and increase the tension you feel whilst playing.

This game is alright I suppose but the main issue I had was when the one monster from the thumbnail appeared in one doorway after I flashed it then when I was going through the other doorway he instantly got me. I don't know if this dude when faster than the speed of light or teleported but its like come on bruh. Every level felt the same and was a bit stale I felt like the only thing changing was a new monster showing up. I feel like the game was like a half baked pizza and could of been better but its just not for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0lK_lc0t2s
There's a bug where every spirit you photograph, the monsters get more aggressive (which is intended). But it doesn't reset the aggressiveness when you die and retry the level. So I ended up getting spawn camped by the monster on the 3rd level every second, as well as the first monster being ridiculously fast. You can just exit to main menu and reload level to fix it but it was quite fun trying to beat it while practically being impossible. Short but fun game nonetheless.
LITERALLY ONE OF THE SCARIEST GAMES I'VE PLAYED. It's simply and bitcrushed as heck, but holy moly the ambience, sounds and music ramp up the horror to 11. I'm only on the second level and it scared the crap out of me multiple times. Who knew simple = scary? I will suggest one thing, the second monster (the doll girl or whatever her name is) I had no clue who she was or how she worked. She would just pop into my camera and end my game (which wasn't even scary in itself) because I have no clue how to combat her. So maybe some more clarification on that? (I could also js be restarted) And also the actual jumpscare for the first monster is lacking a bit. Otherwise, it's crazy scary. 10/10 would pee myself again.
Really fun horror game with unique use of the camera flash mechanic. Really scary especially the tendril guy he makes me jump every time! Really like the retro art style too. Really fun and worth the money
