Base building RTS reminiscent of C&C3 or Generals. For a solo dev project, this is actually pretty dope. It has a 20 mission campaign, 3 factions, skirmish, a tower defense mode and a survival mode. No multiplayer (yet). There's a bit of jank here and there, but in general the game plays and controls well enough. Even the pathfinding is surprisingly decent (better than Stormgate lol). The superpowers that you can unlock are awesome and UNBELIEVABLY destructive. Nice. Things I'd like to see worked on during early access: 1) More unique maps for the seperate game modes. 2) Sometimes units get permanently stuck on geometry. 3) Double selection of a unit control group should center the camera on the group (basic functionality). 4) Building queueing (basic functionality). 5) Saving during the campaign should be implemented. 6) Add an option to disable right click map scrolling, as it interferes with right click commands sometimes, we should be able to turn it off. 7) Performance optimization or at least let us lower the particle effects density, because the game really lags when many units fire simultaneously. 8) Repair vehicles seem a bit too overpowered, you are basically invulnerable if you make 4-5 of them. It might seem like I have a lot of complaints, but all those things are mostly nitpicks and easy to address. What's here is very solid, and due to the low price it's easy to recommend the game if you're looking for an old school RTS fix.
This game feels like a culmination of all the good ideas RTS's have come up with over the years and put into a single game. Really challenging skirmish battles as you notch up the difficulty and number of opponents. All factions have a very unique feel that makes them fun in their own way. Game is colorful and looks great. Favorite feature has to be the patrol routes you can send your aircraft on so they can actively play defense. RTS games could learn a lot from this game. For a solo developer this is a fantastic game well worth its price.
When you keep in mind that this is made by one person and yet it looks good, works and is updated daily with a full singleplayer campaign, skirmish and two more game modes you realise it is an incredible achievement. What I most love about it : 1. Super weapons and super powers 2. Has a singleplayer campaign 3. Skirmish AI is competent 4. One click formations & same speed toggle for units 5. Base building with defences and walls 6. Three factions with different units 7. Upgradable units 8. Rare unit abilities What I wish it had: 1. Cinematics 2. Voice actors 3. Multiplayer 4. More super weapons 5. Save and load option 6. Maps with better borders For now it is working great and plays good, and that is what counts the most.
good start rough around the edges missing some core functions like shift + multiple orders, canceling buildings, the AI pathing is good needs a little work on clumping and attack move wont kill certain buildings. not worth $20, $10-$15 max until they get more polish.
its actually good game just the voice acting need to be better since most of them sounds like someone try harding in voice chat to roleplay as C&C unit cant wait to see how it goes from here
Respect where it's due. This is an impressive product from a solo dev, who remains active in responding to issues brought up by the community and has been pushing out patches to fix issues. It's not the most polished gem, but rough edges (that are being addressed and worked on), it plays well and continues to show promise. The units generally follow what you'd expect in an RTS, so there's nothing odd that needs to be figured out. The gameplay overall is pretty smooth and building/tech progress is quickly paced so you don't feel like you're slogging through it, but also not so fast that early game units are redundant. My favorite thing about this game though is that it has so many game modes. Campaign (which is always a huge plus), skirmish, wave survival, and tower defense. I've actually enjoyed the wave defense a good bit, as it doesn't pull its punches and given you can build towers and walls and units, it keeps the pressure on. Just what I want from that mode. So yeah, if you're looking for a new RTS to play that maintains that old school feeling and you're okay with the rough edges, give it a go. I'd say it's worth it and you're supporting a solo dev to hopefully keep on improving and making even better products.
Оооочень пока сыро!) Это Альфа. Но задел хороший. Желаю разработчикам удачи!) Приобрел, чтоб поддержать. Через пару лет поиграем)
Having finished the campaign and played all game modes, i can definitely recommend this game to anyone who is into these kinds of games. From what i understand there will be the usual updates to improve the game along with in the future the addition of more missions , maps for skirmish and the other game modes. Hopefully with an increased player base we can get multiplayer also. Having coop mode for survival and tower defense could also be a fun addition.
Only just started playing this game but there are some interesting features. I'm afraid my enjoyment was somewhat dented by the non bindable camera keys. It was driving me potty! as I'm an arrow cursor key player and have been for many years. I know we are the minority but still. Also the alternative of trying to pan around using mouse 2 button wasn't natural to me. Please allow the camera keys to be changed or even just have 'WASD' or 'Arrow Cursor' mode, that would be suffice. I've been playing RTS's too long now to start using WASD. Impressive work for a one man team!
A lot of fun. Definitely shades of Command and Conquer and I'm all for it. Great graphics, great environmental effects and smooth game play. For the price this game is an amazing value. It helps that the developer is consistently making updates as well. I would recommend for RTS fans looking for a bit of a throwback experience with modern graphics and more polished mechanics and unit abilities.
