About
Each stage in Showgunners has been hand-crafted to create a curated, turn-based tactical gameplay experience, heightened with the inclusion of a diabolical show director that can hinder Scarlett or help her opponents depending on your performance. This dynamic level design ensures that no two levels play the same way and keep players thinking tactically. Showgunners has been built to challenge and delight players, whether they’re a turn-based tactical game initiate or a long-time fan of the genre!
Scarlett won’t be fighting alone. As the story progresses, players will recruit new partners that can turn the tide of battle in all kinds of exciting ways. Upgrade your characters by spending talent points in their unique skill trees and outfitting them with weapons bought at a shop or earned during battle. Hidden challenges within each chapter can unlock more allies, legendary weapons, and helpful items, so be sure to keep an eye out!
Players will need to navigate an obstacle course of deadly traps and lethal puzzles in real-time, but be prepared for an ambush at any corner. Psychopathic enemies like the Ogre and the Ronin aren’t the only deadly elements you’ll need to overcome. Combat scenarios are peppered with unique environmental hazards, from ticking time bombs to runaway trains. There is never a dull moment in Showgunners!
Gain fame by avoiding death, surviving rounds, and eliminating your enemies with gruesome panache. The more you succeed, the more fans you earn; your growing fame will yield increasingly beneficial sponsorship deals.
Streamers, rejoice! Use the native Twitch integration to keep audiences engaged by letting them control the direction of each level. They can add more enemies, change the terrain, add or remove obstacles, or send useful items, all from chat.

Really engaging game with frenetic pacing and some cool environments. I really enjoyed the characters and setting. The combat is clean, in a similar vein to X Com 1 & 2 if slightly streamlined. This is a good thing though. It keeps the tempo up and I really felt like it was a malicious hellscape of a rating driven TV debacle the characters were playing through. Reminded me a bit of Manhunt tonally, and that's a plus.
Cooles nettes Game für Zwischendurch
A very good and very fun linear tactics game. The combat is very satisfying, the music is fantastic, the announcer is great. The story is simple but enjoyable. Not much in the way of RPG builds, just straight upgrades and sometimes sidegrades. The DLC is free and gives you 5 new hard arenas at the end of the game, which I did because I just liked the combat that much. Genuinely one of those games where I feel bad for having paid less than asking price.
Very good self-contained, focused experience with modern X-com type tactics without the strategic layer. Unlike X-com it has very little replayability but is chunky and satisfactory as a single run. The 90s trashy cyberpunk B-movie flavour is enjoyable but everything outside the fights should have been more lean, the reality TV setup works but if the systems and story bits (off time free roam, logs, sponsor stuff, economy, puzzles) aren't deep enough to frame the core gameplay in an interesting way, would have traded that for a bit more meat. Also, it takes too long to get more than 2 protags, and ambushes become very pointless in the later stages! I liked it quite a bit, thank you for the good time.
Still better tv entertainment than the last season of Love Island. Showgunners is a game that pretty much delivers exactly what it says on the tin, a mix of Running Man and X-Com dipped in cyberpunk aesthetic and sensibilities. Combat is pretty standard fare for any fans of squad based tactics games but frames it in a rather quick, linear and satisfying way. Not many bells and whistles but what the game offers is very satisfying. Combat is quick, intuitive, not too heavy on the RNG and delivers bloody results pretty much instantly. Outside of this the game succeeds at always making you feel on the backfoot and pay attention to details or else you fall prey to the traps, which sadly only really work in one direction. There is very little character or skill customization but what is there makes every character unique and valuable to have. Enemy variety is pretty good as it throws the usual array of cyberpunk goods, freaks and robots at you. In terms of tech I did not have any crashes, bugs or any other glitches. The game only really slowed down once when there were 20+ enemies to keep track of. Overall a fun little game for fans of Wasteland 3 or Mutant: Year Zero.
it is fun. X COM series is serious hard this one its just fun, same game play with some diferences. I have played in normal dificult. not a lot of dialog, graphics not great. its a short game my 70 hours its most AFK, from one to another. this game could and in like 10 hours.
Cool game - similar mechanics to x-com games.
