Cool game, with an nice idea.
Shorebound in its current state is charming and a good time waster. Before i knew it, I had spent three hours grinding the dungeons to get better gear. The level ramp seemed very balanced and the bosses were not overwhelming for new players. The controls feel a little clunky and there are a few bugs but all in all I would recommend this game to anyone looking to kill a couple hours.
the idea is great but the execution is pretty low. clunky controls, plastic feel... not quite enjoyable for the moment, might try it after major updates
Shorebound is a roguelike action game that mixes dungeon crawling with base building and automation. With charming visuals and a fun gameplay loop, it’s a promising pick for fans of Core Keeper or Forager. 6.5/10 Video Gameplay - https://youtu.be/Ey40q1s1OT4
Shorebound honestly gave me a cozy little surprise. One of the things I appreciated most was how beginner friendly it feels the game doesn’t punish you for exploring or taking your time. The dungeon skill balance and survival mechanics are really well thought out, and I loved how enemy waves are intense but never overwhelming. They keep you on your toes without making you rage quit. Achievement system? Solid. It gives structure to your gameplay and little goals to chase super satisfying. And the stone breaking minigame? Simple, but it’s that kind of detail that makes the world feel alive. And can we talk about the cat? It’s adorable and adds such a fun, warm vibe. But hey what if there was a dog buddy too? Just saying, the more the merrier! That said, there are a few areas that could use improvement. Sometimes it’s hard to tell what kind of attacks enemies are doing, and that can be a little frustrating. Crafting is okay right now, but I’d love to see more recipes and creative options. Also, mining feels very good too, the way stones break right at the place you hit it! All in all, this game has charm, challenge, and clear potential. I’m excited to see where it goes from here and I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on it!
Just tried the game for the first time with the new update, and honestly I wasn’t expecting it to be this fun. The gameplay feels really smooth and the whole game already feels surprisingly polished. You can tell the dev actually cares about improving the experience and adding meaningful changes. Definitely feels like one of those indie games that could blow up later on Valve Corporation.
