Shore Doodle is a cute little game where you drawing in the sand and then watching the ocean erase it all. It could have been more interesting with an online mode. It's kinda fun and with his low price, we don't expecting more... 💗
Online Mode When ?
A cute little game that lets you draw in the sand and then watch the ocean come and ruin it. Quite fun for what it is.
Shore Doodle developed and published by Nestopi Inc. is a quiet, minimalist experience that sits somewhere between a creative sandbox and a meditative interactive space. Rather than presenting players with objectives, challenges, or progression systems, it focuses entirely on a single idea: drawing in the sand along a tranquil shoreline and watching those creations gradually fade away. It’s a deliberately restrained concept, but one that carries a subtle emotional weight through its emphasis on impermanence and reflection. The core interaction is as simple as it sounds. Players use basic tools to etch patterns, shapes, or drawings into the sand, with complete freedom over what they create. There are no rules dictating what should be drawn or how it should be approached, and the game never interrupts with goals or instructions. This open-ended design makes the experience highly personal, allowing each session to feel like a quiet moment of expression rather than a task to be completed. The absence of pressure is intentional, encouraging players to engage at their own pace. What gives Shore Doodle its identity is how the environment responds over time. The passage of the day is gradual but noticeable, shifting from bright daylight into warmer evening tones and eventually into night. This changing atmosphere adds a sense of continuity to the experience, subtly reminding players that time is always moving forward. The most impactful element, however, is the tide. As the ocean slowly advances, it begins to wash away everything that has been drawn, erasing lines and patterns until the beach is once again blank. This mechanic transforms the act of drawing into something temporary, reinforcing the idea that creation is fleeting. The visual presentation supports this concept effectively. The environment is intentionally simple, focusing on natural elements like sand, water, and sky rather than detailed or complex scenery. Lighting plays a key role in establishing mood, with the gradual transition from day to night creating a calming, almost contemplative atmosphere. Ambient sounds—waves, wind, and distant environmental details—further enhance the sense of place, making the experience feel grounded despite its minimalism. However, the same simplicity that defines the game also limits its scope. There are no additional systems layered on top of the core mechanic, and beyond drawing and observing, there is little else to interact with. For players expecting structured gameplay, progression, or a variety of activities, the experience may feel too brief or lacking in substance. Once the novelty of drawing in the sand wears off, there are few elements to sustain long-term engagement. Pacing is entirely dictated by the player, which can be both freeing and restrictive. Those looking for a calming, low-pressure experience may find it relaxing, using it as a space to unwind or reflect. Others may find the lack of direction makes it difficult to stay engaged, especially if they are accustomed to more goal-oriented games. The experience works best in short sessions, where its simplicity feels intentional rather than limiting. In the end, Shore Doodle is less about gameplay and more about mood. It offers a small, focused experience built around creativity and the passage of time, standing apart from more traditional titles through its refusal to impose structure. While it may not appeal to everyone, it succeeds in delivering a quiet, contemplative space for those willing to approach it on its own terms. Rating: 7/10
コンセプト雰囲気、すべてが良かった 唯一の欠点は現状(2024・8・28)コントローラーに対応してなってことですかね
