"Shop-Like: The Rogue-Like Item Shop Experience" is a unique blend of item shop management and roguelike elements, offering players endless replayability and diverse strategies to achieve success. The game centers around running a business to pay off debts, with the looming threat of debt slavery adding urgency to your entrepreneurial endeavors. Pros: - Diverse Play Styles: Whether you prefer mass-selling through vending machines or catering to individual customers by analyzing their unique traits, the game accommodates various approaches to maximize profits. - Dynamic Market Manipulation: Players can influence market prices by interacting with the media, allowing for strategic price adjustments to benefit their business. - Endless Replayability: With over 50 random upgrades, randomly generated customers, mid-game crises, and multiple difficulty levels, each playthrough offers a fresh and challenging experience. Cons: - Steep Learning Curve: The game's complexity may be overwhelming for newcomers, requiring time to fully grasp the mechanics and develop effective strategies. - Repetitive Elements: Some players might find certain tasks, such as customer interactions or item crafting, becoming repetitive over extended play sessions. - Limited Visual Appeal: The minimalist graphics and text-based interface may not appeal to players seeking a more visually dynamic experience. In conclusion, "Shop-Like" offers a compelling fusion of business management and roguelike gameplay, providing a challenging and rewarding experience for those willing to delve into its intricate systems. Score: 8 out of 10 gold coins—A profitable venture with room for growth.
Pretty much all random chance and guesswork
I bought this game expecting to practice sales and tax evasion, and I instead got a stock market manipulation game. Great experience of buying low, selling high, and gambling money my character doesn't actually have.
only 50% of players beat the first level according to the achievements.
I loved this game. I was surprised with how many ways there are to get enough money to buy yourself out of debt. I really hope you give this game a try
Very fun and niche, would recommend to anyone with time and patience.
its fun to try beat this game and fail. music is good. its difficult but over time i may fine tune my strategy.
It's a pretty good game. If you like shop management games, it's a worthy play on its own, but doesn't have the charm or writing style of Recettear. The art and music don't feel very solid to me and there's no characters.
It's fun, I completed it in around 10 hours. I needed to check a guide online to enjoy it. In particular, don't forget to use loans early, keep only customers with 4-5 wealth and unlock weapons tiers.
Cute game! Requires a lot of attention to game mechanics when you're learning it, but after a while it becomes pretty easy to win. There seems to be a few minor bugs still (people keep showing up at my store even after I hire a hitman to take care of them), and with an absent game dev I don't expect it to get updated.
