Robots can have a heart!
Left to fend for himself after mankind abandoned the doomed planet Aurora, robot Kramer 227 must find a way to harvest energy and rescue his robotic friends before Aurora crashes into its sun. In his journey, Kramer will probe the planet itself and overcome challenging obstacles, all while trying to conserve his limited life energy to power himself and his friends on their way to safety.
Kramer will gather and share energy with his fellow robots, helping them escape dire situations and predicaments. He will have to jump and explore every platform in every corner of the 20 extensive levels to find all of his friends. Energy is running low on Aurora, so Kramer will have to collect batteries or use generators to recharge, as every action drains his power. Various power-ups collected along the way, such as jetpacks, energy spheres and temperature regulators, can help him on this crucial journey.
Shiny is about saving lives, so it contains no blood or violence.

Well, first of all, this game requires a powerful PC. That's why I have beaten this game recently, years after I bought it because my previous PC could not run it smoothly. The game mechanics are not smooth and feels not polished enough. I still gave a thumbs-up since personally I enjoyed the -however simple- story, sci-fi visuals, music and sound effects. I enjoy 2D sci-fi platformers so I enjoyed this one too, despite its flaws.
Shiny is a Brazilian 3D rendered 2D puzzle platformer where you control a cutesy robot thing and run through various routine platformer levels keeping your battery charged and getting from checkpoint to checkpoint. The game looks passable and even has 4K support, thanks to the venerable Unreal engine. Unfortunately it's the visuals that are not the let down here... the gameplay is, well, mediocre at best. It's not adding anything new to gaming that platformers back in the 1990's did. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. Controls are clunky and it seems like the game was designed more for consoles than PC, and this shows with the somewhat shallow experience. Hitboxes and so on are also janky and imprecise... platformers absolutely must have extremely tight, polished, and good feeling controls if they're going to succeed. Shiny didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievments, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for saving the robot Giorgio, very easy to accomplish, but only around 21 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game, less than a quarter of the players. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game. Shiny has a laughable, eye watering price of $10 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games, let alone the sheer number of free games available on Steam. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
A really nice game about a tiny roboit sabing his friends from being carbonizd by the sun, it's gets hard but only at the very in, even so it's generous with the savepoints, so yea, i recommend it. I wish i could see the ending again since i kinda miss it and the words goes too fast...
Overall = 3/10
A very unpolished (unfinished?) 2D platformer with a dodgy jump mechanic. The story is ok, the graphics are mostly good and the robots have a little bit of character and charm about them, but the game itself is pretty poor. The levels and traps are basic, dull and uninspired in their design and challenge, the jump mechanic doesn’t feel right, the camera is fiddly to use and it doesn’t always follow your robot. It’s not a particularly challenging or very long game and it’s also quite buggy with button prompts displaying incorrectly or missing, character / background clipping, achievements unlocking randomly (or not at all), and poor design choices such as linear level segments so you have to die to get all the collectables, repeatedly crashing in level 6, heat traps not turning off (again making some sequences impossible without dying), and some sequences with nothing in them at all. The music is ok, but doesn’t always tie in with the setting and often cut out or played really quietly. The recommended gamma setting was way too dark and there are very long load times between the relatively short levels. Checkpoints can be poorly placed and having a lives mechanic feels antiquated. New mechanics are slow to be introduced and upgrades don’t remain between levels, limiting what you can actually do. The level design is basic and bland and although they all have a similar look and feel, they feel disconnected as through there should have been a cut scene connecting them.
A mi personalmente no me ha gustado,tiene pinta de tosco y pense que era un juego de plataformas pero es una version descafeinada de la odisea de Abe,es muy plano,sin banda sonora reseñable y con plataforma un poco simplonas.
Really good game,achievements are not hard,you can 100% pretty easily the only problem is some of the obstacle's hitboxes are janky.
weird camera, bad movement control conclusion: not recommend that much
