Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 21 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Originally released for the Dreamcast in 2000 and 2001, Shenmue I & II is an open world action adventure combining jujitsu combat, investigative sleuthing, RPG elements, and memorable mini-games. It pioneered many aspects of modern gaming, including open world city exploration, and was the game that coined the Quick Time Event (QTE). It was one of the first games with a persistent open world, where day cycles to night, weather changes, shops open and close and NPCs go about their business all on their own schedules. Its engrossing epic story and living world created a generation of passionate fans, and the game consistently makes the list of “greatest games of all time”.
A tale of revenge.
In 1986, teenage jujitsu artist Ryo Hazuki returns to the dojo of his father, Iwao Hazuki, only to witness his murder by a Chinese man, Lan Di. Lan Di steals a mysterious artifact known as the Dragon Mirror. Ryo vows to avenge his father’s death and sets out tracing Lan Di’s path.
The first game in the series, Shenmue begins the tale as Ryo travels around Yokosuka, Japan, gathering clues about his father’s murder and dealing with nefarious gangsters along the way.
The sequel Shenmue II continues Ryo’s quest, this time crossing the sea to Hong Kong, China. Ryo ventures deeper into the criminal underworld, meeting martial arts masters who aid him on his journey and offer insight into his father’s death, and unravels the mysteries of the Dragon Mirror that his father kept hidden.
Take the role of Ryo Hazuki.
Explore a 3D open world searching for clues, examining objects, and talking to NPCs.
Battle enemies and bosses making full use of the moves of Hazuki-style jujitsu.
Beat quick-time events (QTEs) and mini-games.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Classiconi
Great !
This review is purely for Shenmue I and using the Japanese VA. Yes, my 27 hour playtime was spent, thus far, only on the first game. Shemue is one of those games you hear brought up in conversation every now and again but never really take the time to learn what it is or what makes it so special. For Shenmue, doing so is impossible without experiencing it firsthand the sheer magic it brings. Everything about this game has completely redefined my expectations for what a video game can even be. It has left me with such an immense and unique sense of anemoia that I genuinely don't think you can even begin to replicate or find elsewhere. In no other game have I looked at a swing-set and wondered to myself if I can interact with it somehow and fix it so that the kids in the neighborhood can use it again. No game has ever prompted that level of engagement from me or made me feel as though my choices were taken that seriously and worthwhile to it. It is really just impossible to describe how genuinely masterful that level of engagement and storytelling is unless you've experienced it firsthand. And don't even get me started on the soundtrack. Shenmue takes me back to the feeling of being a kid again playing games the old way. No internet, no guides, everything you can experience is experienced purely through your discovery of it and every time you play the game you discover something new and incredible you never even knew existed. As an upscaled port of Shenmue to PC I think it is just excellent, for the price this game duo is listed for and for the level of effort and detail put into bringing these excellent games to a modern PC interface I think you would be a fool NOT to buy it, or to insist on playing the game through emulation instead. From what I can tell every ounce of character from the original Dreamcast games have been preserved here and are in full effect, just with the modern luxuries you expect from a PC remaster such as higher resolution textures, beautiful widescreen support, 4k output, 60fps, etc. Technically you are buying a product put out by a modern studio that is more than worth it. I plan to update this review when I've finished Shenmue II but in closing all I have to provide this game is resounding applause and my sincerest recommendation. Please give Shenmue and it's beautiful world a chance, I cannot imagine for a second that it will let you down. 9/10.
RECOMENDO DEMAIS !
