Don't spend anything in this game until you completely understand how pvp works. I wish one of these reviews mentioned this, but perhaps they did not spend anything. I played the game and it's a bit confusing early on, but a lot of fun once you understand it. The community is also helpful which is a big plus, but here is the big problem. You play vs AI and i think anyone playing would naturally assume that the pvp is going to play the same way as it does vs the AI, but this is not the case. You can't play pvp mode until you spend some money and unlock it. Now it doesn't cost much, it's 100 gold and you get like 500 gold for 5$. I bought the pvp mode and raids, only 2$ so not a huge deal, but it still sucks. Ready start a pvp match and they are NOT in real time. You have to choose a timer anywhere from 10 minutes to 28 days for each turn. I was expecting to play with people in real time. I instantly tried to refund, but steam won't allow because you have to purchase on the steam wallet and then buy their currency. They really need to be clear about this. I don't think people are going to play vs the AI and just assume that pvp is not real time. The AI gameplay is fairly quick. Matches do take a while, but they are shorter than 1 match of Artifact. AI takes about 10-20 minutes. The other problem is that there are literally no games found. This game has a decent amount of people on the discord, but I guess they are either in games or don't play much. It's not the end of the world, you can start several matches at once, but I would prefer to play someone start to finish right then. There is so much you will have to look at for each turn based match. This game has a lot going on, you can't just jump back in the next day or two and instantly take your turn. I recommend the game as it's fun and free to play AI. I just wish I knew this about pvp as I would have only played a few AI matches and moved along, maybe at some point do pvp, but it's not what I am looking for. I want real time pvp, not matches that will drag on for days or weeks, that only works in certain games.

nice game, Free To Play but... - you have to pay to play multi - you have to pay to be allowed play raid but you don't have any raid cause : - you have to pay to unlock every raid - you have to pay to play mythical (normal game with card loot) perhaps 'Free To Pay' is a more honest tag.
Good game, but bad F2P practices. What you get free isn't bad, really. You can play to your heart's content against AI opponents. Where the F2P problems come in is... 1. There's no way to grind and use an in-game currency to unlock content. Even if it took six months to unlock the full game, it would still be an improvement. 2. With online-multiplayer locked behind a paywall, there will be fewer people playing PVP. If there's fewer people playing PVP, players will slowly lose interest. Leading to... fewer players in PVP. Eventually, it'll be the random person logging in and seeing no one else playing. My suggestion would be to either make it a paid game, charging the $5 upfront, or make multiplayer part of the free content.
Failed to start game. Error: Unable to start Reason: SUCCESS cool game.
This is the most basic a deck building game can get. You start with a deck of 10 cards (7 Shards that generate power/ 3 cards that do nothing), and buy cards from a line up to improve your deck. Attack and currency is both the same: Power. You buy cards from the line up with power, and you defeat bosses with power. Cards give you VP. The Player with the most VP wins the game. Pros: + looks and sounds epic + clean design + easy rules Cons: - You need to pay 5 dollars to play against other Players and to unlock other stuff... - IT IS THE MOST BASIC A DECK BUILDING GAME CAN GET (basically just a copycat of already existing deckbuilding games) - gets boring pretty quickly because of that - having one currency for both attack and money is just too simple Why make a free to play game, that isn't free to play? Why make another card game without inspiration and new ideas? Tell u why: Recycling artworks from Hex, and hoping to grab money from players. Another thing: Unlocking the real game costs you 100 gold coins. The lowest currency tier is 500 gold for 5 dollars. Thanks for that. Either you are free to play or you make your game 5 dollars, but stop this hidden FTP bullcrap.
Shards the Deckbuilder 10 из 10
The same developers made a better version of this game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1017080/RWBY_Deckbuilding_Game/ The new version allows you to play multiplayer for free. Besides the upgrade mechanic, heroes changing your starting cards instead of having a passive power, and different cards the games are the same
The core reason I wish to not only not recommend this game, but actively warn people of it is that due to the way they have things set up if you buy the full game you are unable to request a refund upon realizing it was a terrible idea. I have only played an hour or so since buying the full game in the hopes it would fix some of the problems, but instead only opened up more game modes that had the same problems with some extras added on. Regarding the game itself: The core gameplay is fine but has some distinct issues that result in often feeling like you never had a chance. The ability for opponents to buy up several cards before you get a chance, especially on the first turn, the ability for multiple boss attacks to stack up in a turn, and the fact the you can pick a hero with a particular skill and simply not have the chance to make use of it all lead to bad feeling games.
Deck building games are usually fine. Not great, not bad, just fine. I'm afraid this one is going to have the same ending as Hex: Shards of Fate...
You can't really go wrong with the Cerberus engine. However, the developers, 80Arcade, are shutting down the servers next month. Even now, I'm mysteriously having trouble playing a game, even offline. Game's fine, just don't want anyone getting into a game that will shut down within 4 weeks.
