ShapeNeon Chaos

ShapeNeon Chaos is a twin stick shooter featuring an entirely bullet game mechanics. Various powerups are gifted to you the longer you manage to stay alive. Graphics are very colorful with fantastic explosions seen all over the screen as you take out the incoming projectiles and enemy waves. Sound and music is also apropos to the on screen action. This is a frantic old school like shooter where you simply turned off the brain and shoot for a while. It works great on any QWERTY keyboard or xbox like controller. Recommended!

I feel it needs to be scored at a 6.5 at best because of the developers desire to try and take your eyes out with special effects, crazy explosions, and just too much going on. It's hard on the eyes, even with the brightness set all the way down to ZERO and the background turned off in the options! Developer, if you don't make a much more basic mode to play this game as I strongly suggested in my video, I'd re-name your game "EyE DeStRoYeR" because that's essentially what it is right now! ..And that's a crying shame too because the gameplay itself is nothing short of super fun and awesome! Let's see if this developer listens to constructive feedback and makes a much needed change to his game... 6.5 out of 10, but this is a "Not Recommend" if the trailer looks like too much or like it might hurt your eyes. (If this developer adds my suggestion "Old person mode" explained in my video, it could be an easy 9.5 score!)

[h1]2021年の作品とは思えないほど洗練されていない[/h1] ＜昔買ってレビューを書いていなかった作品。通常のレビューより簡素＞ 本作は全方位STGで2010年代に多少盛り上がったジャンルだ。 2021年12月にヴァンサバが登場して類似ジャンルである全方位STGが淘汰されたが、淘汰されて然るべきであるぐらい本作は2010年代から変化がない。 むしろオプションで切らないと見づらいエフェクトやデフォルトが手動ショットなど「普通に始めると悪印象になる要素」が幾つもあった。 古臭く、ゲームデザインにも進歩が見られず、同ジャンルのプレイに慣れていると何一つ見新しさがない。 安価であること、ジャンルとして普通に遊べること、実績が取りやすいことという3点により「おすすめ」にしているが「面白いからおすすめ」しているわけではない。

Nice Geometry wars style game. The CHAOS mode starts at maximum difficult, which is great for an arcade game like this. The game is really cheap and worth the money.

fun game, except it has malware, so........ nah (edit: I do have a screen shot of my antivirus going off, but it could have been a false positive also there are types of malware and viruses that do slip through the cracks an example is the spyware redshell which harvests data and sells it to companies, it can be found in the files for the game "War Robots" among many others)

ShapeNeon Genesis is a mimilalist 2D twin stick shooter and "Thematic" ripoff of Geometry Wars, only not as good. Gameplay consists of basic 2D twin stick arcade style bullet hell/shoot 'em up action as you shoot various squares and things, because graphics are hard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game features extremely lazy, minimalist "art", of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. If you really want to play this kind of game, you can get Geometry Wars, which has much higher production values, for much less than the somewhat overly optimistic $2 USD price tag on this.

Fun and difficult.

Another cool game from the Shooting Ships bundle. Smart visuals, it forces your brain to multitask by following your ship against a busy cool background, and in the while aiming at the enemies. Pretty hard, but with a very rewarding feeling and feedback. I like it!
