Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my gameplay & impressions here: https://youtu.be/xpKJLH6F1wM Yeah, this isn't a good game by any stretch of the imagination. The gameplay lacks any imagination. You're basically looking for random objects. You're not even told how many objects you're looking for. The gameplay consists of making sure you touch every object in the room. Then you do the mind board. It basically consists of placing the photos next to the notes. I just brute forced the solution. I gave up after the 6th chapter. That had a horror style school girl chase you while you look for random objects. I have no idea how this game is rated a 4.7/5 on the Meta store. It's bad. Rate 4/10. I wasted $3.50 USD so you didn't have to.
I bought this game! This game is giving another level of experience in VR. This is the Combination of horror, thriller and adventure. I love the story, graphic and gameplay. Waiting for the next part.
I found this when searching for a compelling VR Detective game and this looked very intriguing, especially the plot board, similar to Alan Wake 2. I really wanted to like this but the movement and grabbing interactions are janky AF. hands get stuck on stuff and it's impossible to play sitting down because you have to bend down to the floor all the time to grab crap. So I tried playing standing up, and every time you press the crouch button, the guy goes fully prone and so then you reach above your head, but for some stupid reason reaching up makes your guy stand up, so it's almost freakin' impossible to grab crap inside drawers below the waist. da eff! Mechanics aside, the story or sequencing of events feels completely unclear. you wake up and your wife is sudden a killer or something? And then you're searching for a guy but then someone else comes to the apartment to kill you if you open the door? Da eff is happening? Sorry but I'm done, too many other games to play.
Even though I did finish the game playing with a Meta Quest 2, the controles and gameplay are just so bad I really can't recommend this game. Everytime you want to pick something up you go down but as soon as you move or look you stand up again. The hands get stuck and in some envorinments you just can't walk back the way you came from. I wanted to know how the story ended because besides the pretty decent graphics that seemed to be a positive point but it's just a bunch of nonsense and the story was a total let down. The whole placing the pictures of items on the board in between the levels end ups in just randomly placing your hands everywhere until it picks it up. After 2 hours of playing I figured out that when you look up very far at the moment when you go down to the ground the game doesn't directly let you stand again as soon as you move. This made it a little less frustrating so maybe that's a help for someone playing. It looks nices and could have been fun but no it really isn't.
