Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 5.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Even tho this game runs slow and its still not finished it can be alot of fun

I take a random job off of a board next to a payphone, typical flat vandalism. After entering the place I head straight to the bin, 5 cartons of milk. I check the fridge, another 3 cartons of milk. Only one person lives in this flat. Take pictures of the place smeared white as proof I've done my job and start heading to the hand in point. It's the neighbour across the hall. Curious, I knock first and ask if they actually know the person living across from them. They don't.
game on PC is super unstable. Every time I load into this game it crashes randomly. Truly a shame. such potential. would love to continue to play but if it keeps crashing it may get to a point where restarting game plays will no longer be worth it...
very fun
i thought the difficulty was gonna do anything, but no, the size of the city does waaay more
Fun game but i think it NEEDS multiplayer
A fantastic game. Frustrating at first due to some jankiness. The learning curve can be frustrating for a couple of hours. It clicked for me after realizing that you can always run (when 20 people pull weapons on you for going a centimeter over a boundary) and that not every case is realistically solvable. "Arrest the person with long brown hair and brown eyes and no other info." Uhhh, I'll pass on that one. That strategies you find yourself using are insane. Sneaking into people's homes while they sleep to grab handwriting samples. Printing photos off security cameras and asking every person within blocks if they recognize a perp. Tracing phone calls. Checking every person in a victim's address book. Going through the city directory and ruling out every person with a first name starting with J. It makes you feel a bit insane in the best way.
This is the most immersive game I've ever played. The UI is a little messy at first, but I got used to it pretty quick. The case board is incredibly fun. Most bugs I had in the game were on a non steam copy, and switching to steam has fixed pretty much everything. I have needed to use a mod to fix one case, due to a kidnapper never interacting with his victim, and the case never starting. It feels worth mentioning that without this fix, I would have had to unfortunately reset my whole save for murder cases to work again. The experience is dependent on the type of player. I see a lot of comments complaining about the lack of hand holding, but that feels very intentional. Not every case will be solved by a single sweep of an apartment, especially starting out, but that makes the eureka moments that much more satisfying. Letting myself get fully immersed and using my imagination to create my own lore and write my own stories has been core for me, and Shadows of Doubt gives you all of the tools you need to do it.
I want to like it but the game's mechanics are too unreliable or buggy leading in cases having no leads, no evidence, and generally nothing to go on to progress a case.
