About

Seven Nexus follows the story of Grey, a man who dies a sudden death and learns he’s an anomaly - a Nexus Being. No one knows how he lived or died, and as such, he can’t be judged by Purgatory. He doesn’t belong in either Heaven or Hell.
To decide his fate, Grey must travel back to the human realm and complete Seven Trials, accompanied by two unlikely Guardians: an angel and a devil. Bound by the Supreme Being, they can guide, support, and tempt Grey but never interfere. Only Grey’s choices, virtuous or sinful, can shape the path ahead.
Walk beside Grey as he makes difficult decisions that affect more than just his own fate. Grow closer to his Guardians and uncover their stories and secrets. Forge bonds that may lead him to his true calling, and perhaps, to something even more meaningful… love.

Seven Nexus features a fully playable Prologue, seven immersive Chapters, and a powerful Epilogue. Across two distinct branching paths, you’ll experience deeply personal, story-rich moments with Grey’s potential love interests - Haelo and Horne. Every choice you make shapes the journey toward one of several dramatic, emotional endings: ascend to Heaven, descend to Hell, or forge a fate that’s entirely your own. Grow close to Haelo in a world of gentle intimacy and quiet longing or surrender to the thrilling chaos and seductive fire of Horne!
It showcases fully illustrated, hand-drawn art, including detailed character sprites with multiple clothing arrangements, poses, and expressions; immersive backgrounds that bring the human and supernatural world to life; and full-scene illustrations capturing special character moments, heated fanservice and versatile erotic scenes.
The game also features an evocative original soundtrack, composed specifically for Seven Nexus, designed to enhance every moment, from quiet intimacy to high-stakes tension, and fully immerse players in its unique atmosphere.
With its striking visuals, emotionally rich storytelling, and carefully crafted audio experience, the game offers a tantalizing glimpse into the world of Seven Nexus, leaving players eager to uncover the full story, make deeper connections, and face the Trials ahead!

As Grey navigates the Seven Trials, he’ll have the chance to grow closer, and maybe fall in love with two wildly different companions. Haelo, a soft-spoken angel with a heart full of wonder and secrets of his own. And Horne, a devilish force of nature whose smirk hides more than just temptation.
Each route offers a distinct experience: Haelo’s path explores self-discovery and the aching sweetness of slow-burning affection, while Horne’s is a thrilling dive into desire, rebellion, and learning to love through conflict.

Experience Grey’s journey through the Seven Trials, each a unique chapter that challenges his beliefs, desires, and sense of self. Every choice you make will shape his destiny. At the end, will he ascend to Heaven or descend to Hell? Or perhaps… find his true calling and forge a completely different fate?

Each main character sprite features a variety of dynamic poses, multiple clothing variations, and a rich range of facial expressions, allowing every emotion, reaction, and nuance to come to life in dialogue and scenes.

Experience the richly imagined world of Seven Nexus through meticulously crafted background art that brings each setting to life. From the familiarity of the human realm to the haunting stillness of Purgatory, the divine radiance of Heaven, and the twisted grandeur of Hell.

After each Trial, Grey’s energy will need to be restored before he can continue his journey. Depending on your choices, the renewal may come from Haelo, eager to hold Grey with care and tenderness, or from Horne, who might offer relief in his own dark, domineering way. Each Nexus Ritual culminates in a beautifully hand-drawn, rendered and voice-acted erotic scene. It will deliver an intimate and steamy experience true to your path! Your interactions and influence on your Guardians will determine their 'role' in the Nexus Ritual, guaranteeing a 'versatile' sexual experience throughout the story!

These sneaky devils get you to buy a game for the adult content only to make you feel FEELINGS! Be warned, this is digital therapy *disguised* as smut. Admittedly, I am a straight dude so I can't speak too much on the erotic elements, but I can tell you the story is captivating, the characters are enthralling, and you'll look forward to what happens next each step of the way. PS: Greetings from the VA of Gerrard Wellington and Overlord. I hope you all enjoyed your experience as much as I enjoyed being a part of it. <3

⭐ Overall Rating: 9/10
All that follows is being written as Seven Nexus sits in Early Access, when it reaches full release, I will come back and amend this review as necessary.
Summary
[i] Seven Nexus is a well-polished indie labour of love that stands above many other Visual Novel titles in the same space. It’s a slow-burn romance VN with erotic content, but leans far more heavily into character writing, atmosphere, and emotional storytelling than lewd content alone. While it does come with a few caveats, it’s an easy recommendation for the right audience. This is a BL / gay-focused visual novel, which already makes it something of a rarity in the adult VN space. Built entirely around hand-drawn artwork, the game immediately makes a strong first impression with its visual direction. Character designs are expressive and memorable, backgrounds are richly illustrated, overall leaving the full experience feeling cohesive and intentional. The two primary love interests have designs that elevate the characters in both their true forms and after their post-prologue transformations where the smaller details shine. Dialogue is another strong point. Writing feels natural, character-driven, and often genuinely cute, doing a good job of building believable relationships over time. The game isn’t afraid to tackle heavier, more emotionally grounded themes either, with several character arcs touching on real-life struggles in ways that feel sincere and moving without ever feeling performative. The script has a good sense of humour without undercutting the tone. Key dialogue scenes are voiced, primarily during important moments between Grey and the two love interests. Outside of these, voice work shifts to shorter vocal cues and sound effects. Music is subtle and beautifully integrated; it never becomes repetitive or distracting, its easily and seamlessly blended with the scenes. That said, it’s worth setting expectations appropriately. As previously mentioned, Seven Nexus is very much a slow burn. While lewd scenes are guaranteed, they’re spaced far apart and aren’t the main focus. If you’re coming into this expecting frequent erotic payoff, you may be disappointed. This pacing can also affect the game’s Lovesense support — while present, the long gaps between scenes mean some toys may feel underutilised. Replayability is solid for a VN of this type. Multiple romance paths and choices make repeat playthroughs worthwhile, more chapters are planned over the coming year, with the final chapter currently slated for the latter half of next year. The price is on the steeper side for an adult visual novel, and in its current Early Access state it may not feel fully justified for everyone. That said, the level of polish and care on display already sets Seven Nexus apart from many of its peers. If you enjoy romance-driven, character-focused visual novels, it’s still easy to recommend — and if you can spare the expense, picking it up now is a good way to support the developers and help ensure the remaining chapters see full release. 💬 Supportive Caveat (Early Access) This review is based on the currently released content only: the Prologue and Chapters 1–3 of Seven Nexus. I’ve spent about 5 hours so far (and finished through Chapter 2), playing exclusively on the virtuous path, and even within that limited scope, the depth and care on display are unmistakable. I will return and update this review once the game is fully released later this year, but even in its Early Access state, Seven Nexus already feels like something special. If the remaining chapters maintain this level of polish, thoughtfulness, and emotional weight, this has real potential to become one of the gold standards of M/M visual novels. 🎮 Gameplay & Genre A choice-driven adult BL visual novel built around branching moral paths rather than gimmicks. Choices genuinely matter here, not just cosmetically but thematically, shaping Grey’s internal journey as much as the external plot. Even sticking to one moral alignment, it’s obvious this is designed for multiple playthroughs, with every path (virtuous, sinful and everything in between) offering fundamentally different experiences. The lack of achievements at present is noticeable, especially given how replay-friendly the structure is, and I sincerely hope achievements are added later to reward that exploration. 🔥 M/M Content Explicit, beautifully illustrated, and emotionally grounded. The erotic scenes are not just fanservice. They are woven into the story in a way that reinforces character development and moral tension rather than undercutting it. What really stands out is that intimacy here feels intentional and intimate, not mechanical. Sex is part of the narrative language of the game, not a checkbox. It complements the story’s themes of temptation, connection, and choice instead of distracting from them. 🎨 Visuals & Style This is, hands down, one of the most polished UIs I’ve ever seen in a visual novel. Clean, elegant, intuitive, and genuinely premium-feeling. Navigation is smooth, text presentation is excellent, and nothing pulls you out of the experience. The artwork is stunning. Character sprites are expressive, detailed, and alive, with thoughtful use of poses and expressions. The CGs are gorgeous, and the overall visual direction feels cohesive and confident. 🎵 Audio & Music The soundtrack deserves special praise. It’s atmospheric, emotionally resonant, and enhances scenes rather than overpowering them. Music here does real narrative work, reinforcing mood and tension in a way many VNs never quite manage. This is the kind of score that lingers in your head after you stop playing. 🗣️ Tone & Writing The writing has real depth. Seven Nexus isn’t just asking questions about being gay. It’s asking questions about what it means to live well, to choose compassion or indulgence, responsibility or desire, growth or comfort. The dialogue feels thoughtful and mature, with characters who already feel layered and human. You start caring about them quickly, and that emotional investment sneaks up on you, which is the hardest thing to pull off in a VN. 👍 Best Thing The craft. Everything here feels deliberate. Writing, UI, art, music, pacing. It all works together. Even unfinished, the game already feels confident in what it wants to say and how it wants to say it. 👎 Worst Thing The lack of achievements and replay-tracking systems at this stage. Given how clearly the game is built for multiple paths and endings, this feels like a missing piece rather than a flaw. I strongly suspect it’ll be addressed as development continues. ⭐ Final Verdict A strong recommendation, even in Early Access. Seven Nexus is thoughtful, polished, emotionally engaging, and clearly made with care. It respects the player, trusts its audience, and aims higher than simple escapism without forgetting to be sexy, intimate, and deeply human. If the remaining chapters deliver at the same level as what’s already here, this won’t just be a good M/M VN. It’ll be a benchmark. Having played through chapters' 1 and 2, I can firmly say that this is one of, if not the best visual novel of its' kind. I found the story deeply engaging, along with careful thought and attention to detail put into the art and visuals. The dialogue was also excellent, and left me interested in further chapters. Very excited to see what is to come!
This game is the best, I had fun playing it, every part of it. I can't wait until it is fully released. Giving all the support to the people that made this and other games, love them
first i was here for the gay drama. now im here for the story and i need more TT
Although the game is still in development and you are only able to play up until chapter 3 at the moment of writing, this game is awesome, it has a beautiful story and has, as most people that played a BLits game before would know, a great artstyle. The backgrounds and characters are very pretty and really complement the story. The music is top notch as expected, i especially love the main menu theme. It is less lighthearted then something like camp buddy or scoutmaster season, but has equally cute moments/interactions, which shine despite the more serious atmosphere I am really looking forward to the release of the other chapters and will update this review accordingly. I had a great time and cant wait for what it next, it is definetly worth it.
This game is honestly one of the best written games I have ever played. Despite it being an eroge, it has made me laugh, cry, frustrated, and everything in between with the story and the voice actors. The cast is fantastic, the art is incredible, and the choices and routes all feel so natural. This game is so worth it. <3

More than once, I found myself staring at a decision waiting for the game to reveal the "correct" answer; It rarely did. A choice that felt virtuous in one moment could easily feel selfish in another. Likewise, a choice that appeared sinful at first glance often carried motives that were far more complicated. The longer I played, the less interested I became in reaching Heaven or Hell. That probably sounds strange given the premise, but it is an accurate statement, because Grey's destination gradually became less important than the people he met along the way. Every character seems to arrive carrying their own baggage, beliefs, regrets, contradiction... and some challenged my assumptions. I particularly appreciated that the story rarely treats people as simple embodiments of Virtue or Sin. Even the characters who initially appear to fit those roles reveal enough of themselves to blur the lines, shifting my thinking towards why they believed what they believed. If there is one area where I wanted more, it was time. Several character arcs felt as though they were only beginning to reveal their most interesting layers when the story moved on. More than once, I reached the end of a scene wishing there had been another conversation waiting for me. Not because something was missing, but because I had become genuinely invested in understanding the people behind the choices. Representation — ★★★★★ There was never a moment where I felt I was stepping away from Grey's journey simply to pursue a relationship. The characters remain important regardless of whether romance develops, which makes those relationships feel like a natural extension of the narrative rather than rewards waiting at the end of a route. Perhaps, the thing I appreciated most for representation is that the game allows its characters to exist beyond attraction alone. Too often, romance-focused visual novels introduce characters primarily through their appeal as romantic interests; instead, as the story progressed, Haelo and Horne became an integral part of Grey's journey, offering support towards his main quest. I think that both revealed enough depth and individuality that they became far more interesting than the roles they initially seemed to occupy. The relationship system deserves praise as well. Choices do not simply determine who Grey spends time with. They influence how those relationships evolve and what kind of dynamic develops between the characters. That extra layer of agency made the romantic routes feel personal rather than predetermined. Gameplay — ★★★★★ At its core, Seven Nexus is still a visual novel. But thanks to the addition of The Virtue and Sin system, there is enough variety and thinking behind choices that reading does not become overbearing. Rather than encouraging players to chase particular outcomes, it encourages them to think about motivation. Many morality systems eventually reveal themselves as little more than a series of optimal choices. Seven Nexus avoids that trap surprisingly well. Even when I understood the likely consequences of a decision, I was often more interested in the reasoning behind it than the outcome itself. Art & Direction — ★★★★☆ Rather than overwhelming scenes with excessive visual effects or constantly demanding attention, the game keeps its focus on the characters. Expressions are strong, character designs are memorable and emotional scenes are scattered to give players room to breathe. The sprite work deserves particular praise. Characters convey a surprising amount through relatively subtle changes in expression support the emotive scenes. Voice acting and animation are used sparingly, but effectively. My only real criticism is that some of the more intimate scenes could have benefited from animation. The presentation is already strong, but a little more movement during these moments would have brought them closer to the quality found elsewhere in the game. Do I recommend it? — ★★★★★ Absolutely. The longer I spent with Seven Nexus, the less it felt like a story about Heaven and Hell and the more it felt like a story about people. People who make mistakes. People who contradict themselves. People who carry regrets, justify questionable decisions and struggle to fit neatly into the categories assigned to them. That is ultimately what I enjoyed most about the game. The Virtue and Sin system may be what initially draws players in, but the characters are what kept me invested. My biggest criticism is also one of the strongest compliments I can give the writing: I wanted more time with these characters than the game was willing to provide. If you enjoy visual novels that trust you to think about your decisions rather than simply rewarding the "correct" answer, Seven Nexus is an easy recommendation. I have created a guide to help with that. But nevertheless, I would say that this one of the most curated VNs I have ever come across. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3693528906
