Reviews
Ok, first of all, I normally don't write negative reviews but this game wants me to do it So, the beginning was really nice, doing the tasks in the school and being a lil frightened ... but then, after you left and want to drive home... A tree on the street makes you stop Your doggo runs into the surrounding forest And now, you have to walk through this big ass forest in the dark with only your lil flashlight, searching for this stupid dog, running after his barking and some weird noises Damn, I wouldn't even have found the things the game made me search in bright daylight but in the night with this tiny light it made everything worse, I was so mad I was running around in this f.ucking forest for what felt like eternity And it made me hate this poor dog I was searching for The 'scary' part there isn't also scary at all Idk what this game wants to tell but I'm for sure not the right person to listen to it 3,5/10

Всем привет! Сама из Якутии, игра очень крутая и правдоподобная. Одноклассники молодцы очень хорошую игру сделали! Горжусь! Якутия вперед!
Setteeh is a compact, atmosphere-driven horror experience developed and published by MonsterAttack that distinguishes itself through cultural specificity and restrained storytelling rather than spectacle. Drawing heavily from Yakut folklore and real regional paranormal legends, the game aims to unsettle players through implication, sound, and environment instead of relying solely on loud jump scares or excessive gore. Its relatively short runtime reflects a focused design philosophy: Setteeh is not interested in stretching its ideas thin, but in delivering a concentrated sequence of eerie moments that linger long after the screen fades to black. From the opening moments, the game establishes an oppressive mood rooted in isolation and uncertainty. Players find themselves navigating familiar yet unsettling locations—most notably a school setting that initially appears mundane before gradually revealing something deeply wrong beneath the surface. Ordinary spaces become sources of dread through subtle visual cues, distorted lighting, and a growing sense that unseen forces are observing every movement. This slow erosion of normality is central to Setteeh’s horror, as it builds tension through anticipation rather than immediate confrontation, encouraging players to question every sound and shadow. Sound design is one of the game’s most effective tools. Audio cues are carefully layered, making silence just as threatening as sudden noises. Footsteps echo unnaturally, whispers drift through empty corridors, and distant sounds suggest activity beyond the player’s line of sight. The use of native Yakut voice acting adds a layer of authenticity that enhances immersion and reinforces the game’s cultural grounding. Even players unfamiliar with the language can feel the weight and intent behind spoken lines, which contributes to the unsettling atmosphere rather than distracting from it. Narratively, Setteeh unfolds in episodic segments that guide the player through a series of unsettling encounters and environmental puzzles. Storytelling is largely indirect, conveyed through exploration, dialogue fragments, and visual symbolism rather than explicit exposition. This approach invites players to piece together meaning on their own, mirroring the uncertainty experienced by the protagonist. The folklore-inspired elements feel woven into the environment rather than imposed upon it, giving the impression that the supernatural is an intrinsic part of the world rather than an external threat that suddenly appears. Gameplay mechanics are intentionally simple, focusing on exploration, light puzzle-solving, and observation. There is little emphasis on combat, which reinforces vulnerability and heightens tension. Players are often left with limited means to respond to threats, making avoidance and awareness more important than confrontation. This design choice aligns well with the psychological horror tone, ensuring that fear arises from helplessness and atmosphere rather than mechanical challenge. Visually, the game favors realism and muted tones to ground its supernatural elements. Environments are detailed enough to feel believable, which makes their gradual corruption more disturbing. Lighting is used sparingly but effectively, guiding attention while leaving large portions of the environment shrouded in darkness. While not aiming for cutting-edge graphical fidelity, the presentation serves the narrative well, supporting immersion and reinforcing the feeling of unease throughout the experience. Setteeh is not without imperfections. Some players may encounter minor technical issues or moments where interaction lacks clarity, briefly interrupting immersion. The game’s short length may also leave those seeking a longer or more mechanically complex horror experience wanting more. However, these limitations are balanced by the game’s strong sense of identity and its commitment to atmosphere over excess. In the end, Setteeh succeeds by embracing restraint and cultural authenticity. It offers a horror experience that feels personal and regionally distinct, standing apart from more generic indie horror titles. For players who appreciate slow-burn psychological tension, folklore-inspired storytelling, and immersive soundscapes, Setteeh delivers a memorable journey that proves effective horror does not require grand scale—only careful design, confidence in tone, and respect for the stories it draws from.
