A pleasant and unexpected surprise! I have not played any previous Serafina games, and was actually expecting a Hidden-object game, and was first disappointed, that it turned out to be a VN...however, the story and the interesting characters and choices quickly drew me into the game, and I needed to play it through at least once (ca. 8h). There are actually really interesting choices, which seem to influence the outcome and all 4 major players seem to have their own motives and represent different approaches to problems (aggression, wealth, luxury...) There is some nicely done voice acting, event if mostly only the first few words, but it definitely increases the athmosphere and is good for some laughs... After my first playthrough I only got ca. 35% of the achievements, so will likely try another go... If you like VN, some interesting choices, a clever debate system with some mystery and intriguing story, then its a game for you... 8/10.

This game is the sequel to the free-to-play Serafina's Saga. While nominally associated with that game, Serafina is not the protagonist in this title. Instead, she is one of the possible future rulers of Darzia. And may well have ended up that way, except for the little matter of the death of the previous queen, and suspicions that land on each of the claimants, leaving the protagonist Odell Perin as regent. Now you have to figure out how to rule while trying to find the true killer.4 Perhaps you yourself will take the crown.
