About

As a member of the SENTRY Defense Program, you have been thawed from stasis to protect your vessel as it flees across space.

As you choose your escape route in the Navigator, encounters with alien vessels are unavoidable. They will board your ship and attempt to fight their way through different subsystems to destroy the Core.
Your SENTRY must thwart the enemy by bringing to bear an arsenal of potent ranged weaponry. Even with the best shooting abilities, holding back the hordes is only possible by deploying traps and turrets - and if all else fails, utilizing environmental destruction to stem their advance; a well-timed shot could vent aliens into space, a closed blast door could buy you time to set up new defenses.

SENTRY features a singleplayer campaign with the option to have an online friend fighting alongside you in co-op.

Should your SENTRY fall in battle, death is not the end. Another member of the crew will be thawed from stasis by the SENTRY Defense Program, ready to continue the fight.
Even if you fail to defend a level, defeat only changes the strategic landscape in the Ship Overview, forcing you to make new decisions on where to make your next defiant stand.
As long as there is a surviving SENTRY and the Core remains operational, your skills in combat mean victory can always be grasped from the jaws of defeat.

SENTRY aims to carve out its own path in the Action-Defense genre by featuring a campaign where your choices and performance matter. Battles are not one-off events, defeat doesn’t mean replaying a checkpoint. Everything feeds into the ongoing battle for your ship’s survival.
A SENTRY is fast, responsive - and therefore powerful. Deployable traps, turrets and environmental destruction opportunities are needed to supplement this power when facing near-overwhelming forces of reactive and aggressive enemies. Successful escapes will need to utilize a mixture of skill and planning, with discovery and upgrading of new equipment providing an edge in combat.
Combining all these elements evokes the feeling of being a beleaguered and outnumbered SENTRY. On the journey you may lose battles, but you can win the war.

Super fun, and highly recommend. Not really a complaint here, just an observation, but the shotgun sentries are in need of a balance pass, or everything else needs a buff. The shotgun sentries are S+++ tier and most everything else is C-B tier. I haven't unlocked every trap there is, so there may be others, but the value of that trap is so high its stands out above everything else. I really like how you permanently unlock equipment, it makes you really have to commit to wanting to unlock things or ensuring your success, so there is this great natural balance that happens with progressing. I also thing the guns are very well balanced overall, and all of them are fun in their own way. When I first started getting into it, I wasn't a fan of how the guns felt, like why does the SMG feel so much worse than the AR, then it made a lot more sense that the weapon slot size really indicates the weapons power, the system isn't perfect, but it feels very fun to mix and match weapons to really take advantage of ammo, or just go all in on 1 or maybe 2 guns and just lean on those all the way to the end. I have very much enjoyed my time with the game, and will continue to play it throughout its updates. I'm a big fan of this one.

How frustrating. How far from fun. Is this supposed to be hardcore? Where does it say that? The tutorial should not feel this difficult. Too overwhelming with nothing to support me, not remotely enough ammo and the two traps you start with are just ♥♥♥♥. Placement of traps or should i say, available places are too remote or simply non existent and in general my -pistols- explosives are better at crowd control. I want to make it clear, my pistol is better than the traps. There is no ADS which i would be getting consitent head shots. I really want the difference in sensitivity so i can aim better. It might be a skill issue, but i dont give two ♥♥♥♥♥. Starting with a couple lives, you just get dwindled down and run out of ammo. Im really not that bad of a shot. But the enemies are sponges, even with head shots, it takes at least a couple rounds. You have 12 in the clip and a max of 42 i think for the pistol. There are more than 50 enemies give or take each breach. There is an ammo dump, but that could be at the other end of the map or an objective could be like, do it with out using them.... Im not going to convince a friend to join me if im getting frustrated with the tutorial and its math dont math......... Am i supposed to lose the tutorial? If so, then just shoot me now. And stop wasting my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time. Its possible devs dont have a perspective outside their own. It can be easy to get lost in the sauce when you play your own game, your already a pro, you made it. But this just feels vindictive. There are some other design choices that bother me as well, like how boarding sequences work and objectives being fairly harsh or even telling you not to TD in a TD game... I dont have the inclination to express them in detail. The only positive thing im going to say, i love the art style. Heres the thing. I play ALOT of very difficult games, i enjoy a good challenge and something that pushes me to find new ways of doing things. But this game is a hard pass unless the balance is address or add difficulty options? Maybe not ♥♥♥♥ the player on his first run? In any form of entertainment you have a small window to enthrall your audience. I tried several times over the 1 hour that was spread over days cause it tries my patience. But im over it. And your window with me has closed.
it's fun
its a really good fps
Very fun even in it's dev stage, would absolutely recommend you get it!
Fun game, it's like if you took Orcs Must Die and made it sci-fi. your deployables are your best friend as always in these types of games but they made your weapons actually pretty decent, in fact you can probably hold your own without deployables if you get the right upgrades.
Defensa de torres en primera persona, ha mejorado mucho desde que salió día 1.
Doing this just to balance out the hot take negative reviews

Really good game, needs more gamemodes but still is really fun. I dont get why people say its too hard when it is not that hard, you die a lot at the beggining but when you unlock more weapons and turrets you can start to go for really good builds, just enjoy the game honestly its really good
