SEEP Universe

Other SEEP games are good. This one is not. Controls are horrible. Avoid it, not for the sake of your money, but for the sake of your time. I almost beat the 4th world and just had to give up because of all of the unfair deaths due to the bad jump mechanic.

El juego me lo he comprado por que es de SEEP, y los sword & bones me han encantado, del 1 al 5, este la verdad que es dificilillo, pero sobre todo por la manejabilidad , que es horrible, le doy que si, porque al final te picas y sigues hasta pasartelo, tienes varios modos de juego y está entretenido, aunque morirás varias veces, pero si lo intentas más veces conseguirás. Si te gustan los 2d con disparos, saltos, plataformas, en oferta que son centimos diría , pillalo, te entretienes unas horas.

Seep Universe has some nice ideas and charisma, but somehow the gameplay feels off and frustrating. Unfortunatelly, i couldn't bother to finish this one and can't recommend it. But Seep has some nice little games, like Swords & Bones.

First commercial title from this duo of brothers who keep producing games to date, [b]SEEP Universe[/b] even casts themselves as the heroes, put into action by a bizarre premise to go through a few worlds with Mario 3 / World style maps. While I can feel their investment, it's clear their experience at the time didn't match, resulting in a game that barely scrapes the passable level - should rather be classified as "Mixed", but we all know Valve won't implement that, and a "Positive" would be too generous in my eyes. The amateurish and inconsistent quality of the graphics - which, besides NES games, also remind me of DOS platformers like [b]Commander Keen[/b] and [b]Bio Menace[/b] - is even endearing at times, but you'll soon realize that the biggest fight comes every single moment from the iffy jumping physics. Control sensitivity isn't much better; missing jumps is quite frequent, as is inadvertently falling into deadly hazards because the character moves much more than a quick touch in a direction should entail. Running jumps can also turn into further chances for undeserved deaths. In each world the brothers get different special attacks, available in limited quantity through collectible power-ups, but in a few instances they are also needed for simple puzzles, so you can't waste them and are forced to resort to their ridiculously short basic attacks most of the time. It's not especially difficult, and I even had fun in short bursts, especially as each world ends with a boss fight that is a minigame with different gameplay. But it's not good that most of the difficulty comes from faulty gameplay and coding rather than proper design.
