[h1][b]"It's Not About Money, It's About Sending A Message!"[/b][/h1] Story driven game set in a beautiful, peaceful world developed by a small group of people, 3 guys to be precise. Story is well-written not boring at all for a game without any combat actions. Gameplay is pretty much basics but it's not the focus of this game so it's okay. Soundtrack is really great, very well composed and it really goes along with the game as you progress. Totally worth it. Voice acting was bit out of focus for me, felt like it was forced sometimes, one thing to improve next time. The thing I liked the most is the message it's giving out. The game talks about depression which has been a massive struggle for many people in the modern world and how to overcome it with positive thinking instead of ruining or ending your valuable life. It teaches you to value the smallest things in life and how important they can be to you as you grow older. My only complain towards the game is, it's too short. Really wish there was more to it. Another two chapters would have been awesome. So I highly recommend this game to anyone out there, specially if you or your friend or your child or anyone you know are/is feeling alone or suffering from depression; try this game out. It may change your life, give you a purpose to live on. The game isn't expensive either (in any region), so I guess most people will be able to afford it + plus there's a launch sale going on atm. I'm lukewarm for this game. It is a brave venture for developers to tackle the serious topic of mental health in coping with grief, depression and loss of hope. You play as a young woman reminiscing on her life as she ponders on her relationships with her grandmother, parents and best friend. It shows how we can't assume what another person is thinking and how our assumptions can cloud our decisions. The story was interesting and the ending really packed a punch. The game play is very simple as you follow a wolf guide around your environment and interact with certain objects. There are memory points around which narrate the story. Achievements are easy to get, but I must have missed one memory point along the way! It took me just 90 minutes to get through the game, so easily done in one sitting. The downside is the head bobbing, so a warning to those who have motion sickness. I had a blinding headache by the time I finished due to the head bob. There is no way to turn it off. Graphics are very low poly and basic, but still pretty. Music was nice. The other downside was the voice narration. It came across as very wooden and often contrived. Sometimes it was really annoying to listen to it! This is the first game from a new Sri Lankan development team, so I guess I shouldn't be so hard on them. They definitely have a bright future if they're willing to tackle the hard topics. 6.5/10

"Stunning, minimalist art style reflects the inspirational story behind perfectly!" Forgotten Hope is an inspirational and an emotional narrative driven, single player indie game, which gives a very strong message. Amazing visuals, minimalist art style, story and the OST are the things I loved most about this game, which are truly wonderful! At some points story might get a bit predictable, yet never loses to hook the player to the story. Obviously the game is not perfect and there is ground to improve in their coming projects. It’s the debut video game by Black Hammer Studios and as for their 1st game with minimum man power, this is definitely a success. Really looking forward to play more amazing video games with more amazing inspirational stories from this indie studio <3

Forgotten Hope is a fairly short, linear adventure about a girl exploring her memories. A very small team has created a retrospective journey that is worth taking. It is played from a first person perspective as you follow a white wolf. Other than the wolf, you are exploring an 'empty landscape' and the narration is in the form of your memories being 'thought out loud.' There is a lot of narration and, when it is displayed/spoken, your progress is slowed. Thus, if you are looping back through to pick up missed items, it becomes a bit frustrating. I grew tired of listening and ended up making my second pass through the game in silence. Achievement hunters will find that there are collectibles that can be missed and one 'mystery' achievement that I have yet to figure out. Most of the achievements are earned by completing the required story tasks and finishing each segment. There are several transitions in the game which preclude any revisiting of prior locations. Thus, a missed item will require a replay from the beginning. The game auto-saves fairly frequently but no explicit save is provided. The ending left me a bit confused. Without spoiling anything, suffice it to say that I am not entirely sure of the main character's fate. If you are up for a walk down memory lane with an emphasis on healing, then this adventure may be just right for you!

For a debut release from a small indie studio, Forgotten Hope does not disappoint. A small, but well told narrative with a deep theme that will take you on an emotional journey and leave you feeling melancholic for hours after finishing it. The developers have creatively used their constraints to produce a polished product that feels and plays amazing. Special shout-out to the soundtrack which elevates this already great game to a level above. Black Hammer Studios have proven their potential with this game
