About
Seed World is a game that aims to combine automation, conveyor belts, and level challenges. The game simplifies 'building' automation into progress bars. Each progress generates or consumes resources, and players need to manage resources wisely, avoiding blindly activating items to prevent resource shortages that could interrupt the cycle. This could put players in the midst of battle at a dangerous disadvantage!
Can anyone understand me? Watching dozens of progress bars move rapidly is really stress-relieving 0v0.
The game is themed around food and summer. Players control characters to obtain money, gems, food, and other resources while fighting enemies, using various summer delicacies to repel those annoying foes.
The protagonist has an ice cream sword that can protect them in close combat. Although it can become very powerful later in the game, it should not be relied upon in the early stages!
As long as players can plan resource consumption properly, every battle becomes a major improvement.
Bosses carry powerful relics, and each boss has very special combat styles and characteristics, so never underestimate them!
It is a relatively small, casual roguelike shooting game. The protagonist fights using revolvers with different functions, with a dozen types of bullets. Should you use the highly damaging armor-piercing bullets, or the fiery bullets that can burn enemies? These can all be controlled by obtaining items. Whether you want extreme single-target damage or chaotic damage with special effects, it’s all in the player's hands.

Seed World, developed and published by 大飞机工作室, is an unconventional indie project that attempts to merge simplified automation mechanics with light action gameplay, resulting in a hybrid experience that feels experimental in both structure and execution. At first glance, it resembles a resource management or strategy game, but instead of relying on traditional building systems or complex infrastructure, it reduces everything into a more abstract format built around interconnected progress systems. This design choice gives the game a distinctive identity, though it also shapes many of its strengths and limitations. The core gameplay revolves around managing a network of production processes represented by moving progress bars. Each one contributes to the creation or consumption of resources, and players must carefully decide how to allocate their limited inputs to keep everything running smoothly. The challenge comes from maintaining balance, as activating too many processes at once or failing to prioritize correctly can disrupt the entire chain. This creates a constant sense of tension, where efficiency becomes the central focus. While the system is easy to understand, it lacks the tactile depth found in more traditional automation games, making it feel more conceptual than hands-on. What adds an extra layer to this structure is the integration of real-time combat. Players are not simply managing systems from a distance but are also actively controlling a character who must fight enemies while the automated processes continue in the background. This overlap between management and action creates moments where planning and execution collide, as poor resource management can directly affect combat effectiveness. Boss encounters further emphasize this connection, requiring players to refine both their setup and their ability to react in real time. These moments are where the game feels most engaging, as the two systems briefly come together in a meaningful way. The overall tone of the game leans toward lighthearted and whimsical, with visual elements that incorporate playful themes and colorful designs. Items and tools often carry a slightly humorous or unconventional style, giving the game a personality that contrasts with its mechanical core. However, this thematic layer remains mostly superficial, as it does not significantly influence how the game is played. The experience remains grounded in its systems, with the aesthetic serving more as a backdrop than as an integrated part of the gameplay. Progression is structured through a series of levels that gradually introduce new challenges and variations, though the underlying mechanics remain largely unchanged. While players do gain access to additional resources and improvements over time, the core loop does not evolve significantly. This can lead to a sense of repetition, especially during longer sessions, as the player continues to interact with the same fundamental system without major shifts in complexity. The accessibility of the design is a clear advantage, but it comes at the cost of long-term depth. Visually, Seed World prioritizes clarity over detail, with an interface dominated by the very systems that define the gameplay. The abundance of moving elements on screen can make it easy to track resource flow, but it can also become overwhelming when multiple processes are active at once. The environments and character designs are functional but not particularly memorable, reinforcing the idea that the game’s focus lies in its mechanics rather than its presentation. The overall look is consistent with its indie nature, offering just enough to support the gameplay without aiming for visual distinction. One of the most notable aspects of the game is its willingness to experiment with genre conventions. By simplifying automation into a more abstract form and combining it with direct player control, it offers a different perspective on familiar ideas. This approach can be refreshing for players who are open to new interpretations, but it may also feel lacking for those who expect the depth and flexibility typically associated with management or strategy games. The experience often feels like a proof of concept, showcasing an interesting idea without fully exploring its potential. Despite its shortcomings, there are moments where Seed World delivers a satisfying sense of flow. When resource chains are running efficiently and combat encounters are handled smoothly, the game creates a rhythm that can be genuinely engaging. These instances highlight the strength of its core idea, even if they are not sustained consistently throughout the experience. In the end, Seed World stands as a creative but uneven experiment that blends automation and action into a compact package. It offers a unique take on resource management, but its simplified systems and limited variety prevent it from reaching the depth of more established titles. It is best suited for players who enjoy exploring unconventional indie designs and are willing to accept a certain level of repetition in exchange for something different. Rating: 6/10
