RPG Maker strikes again! 1vs1: Battle Royale for the throne is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. An important note: KuKo are known asset flippers and have previously taken other developers work and put it on Steam in an attempt to scam gamers and get paid for someone else's effort. One example of KuKo doing this is 6.0, which is really the "[url=https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/2d/characters/pixel-adventure-1-155360]Pixel Adventure 1[/url]" asset, written by the actual developers, Pixel Frog. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. This is a painfully generic JRPG Final Fantasy ripoff, just like no original game development happened here, no original writing or game encounter/level design happened either. It's badly translated... it's a mess. But what should we expect from these Russian trashware pushers? They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product. 1vs1: Battle Royale for the throne is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.

It's Game of Thrones. Hahaha. Ok not really. Although ... Cersi and Jamie maybe?. Not a spoiler I hope. Anyway its good for a 30 minute time kill. 100% achievements are easy...I think one puzzle was caused me to have to think. It's profile limited, so the cheevos won't add, unless you are tracking on True Steam Achievement of course. Thumbs up?...well it's not really thumbs down. It doesn't really lie about what it is and its cheap....story is ok. Buy on sale.

На фоне остальных игр данного разработчика BrainStorming Team и других игр, связанных с издателем KuKo эта РПГ-мейкерская штукенция хотя бы показалась мне действительно любопытной и к тому же заняла меня почти на час. Никаких особых сложностей в прохождении не возникало, скорее происходили определённые "затупки" с моей стороны. Минусом считаю лишь создание видимости "нелинейности" игрушки, ведь по факту пройдя за одного героя потом придётся после него пройтись и за второго... Пройдя игру я получил достижения за обоих персонажей и лишь одно нужно было выбить через начало игры другим персонажем. Да, всё-таки эту минирпгшку можно считать очередной "выбивалкой идеальной игры", но в целом по скидке такое пойдёт.
