An adventure game about old computers, community, creativity, fandom, gender, and the internet. Alex Cole is a teenage trans girl in 1999 who has yet to figure herself out. She spends much of her free time on the internet, browsing a fan forum for her favorite magical girl show, and chatting with her friends.

I like the game, I played through the whole thing, I appreciate the trans theme, but someone has to be the bad guy here. SLH is a decent game but nothing more. The review sits at 98% positive at the time of this review so I don't feel too bad to be critical. It's a decent story, it's a story that's been left untold for thousands of years history, but it is also a mediocre story without the perfect touch that'd make it a truly memorable story. This game is ultimately a circlejerk for trans people, and I mean it in the best way possible. I want nothing more than steam to be dominated by games like Celeste, but we' re never going to achieve that by hugboxing a 500-review game.
This is really adorable and cute I love Alex so much <3
This was such an awesome game, I really liked all the little things you could find within the computer. I will say, the terminal portion to get back onto my actual account was really frustrating, I don't enjoy looking up guides for puzzles but this one pretty much required it, *especially* that supposedly one of the files is on your Real computer, not just the one in-game. "out of the box" does not necessarily mean "out of the game" for players, at least I didn't interpret it that way. I cried at the messages towards the end, they really hit me despite not being MTF myself. Absolutely loved it.
Very short, but one of the few games that made me cry by the end.
universal transfem terminally online simulator ...that's also a really sweet story and I wish Alexandra all the best. Seriously girl, you'll figure it out I promise <3
A very sweet and lovely little game, and a little tear-inducing at times.
That said, there's a point where the game suggests "thinking outside the box"... It may be confusing at that point, I suggest minimizing the game for a moment, and talking a small walk around your home, and then coming back to think about it at that point, and then coming back, and just taking a moment at your computer to clear your head before maximizing the game again and going back to looking for it.
Did you have a secret like a show or interest? What about controlling or spying parents? Are you trans? Have nostalgia for the days of fan forums? If any of those are true, this will get to you. If multiple, well, this one was an amazing rollercoaster when I let it take me along for the ride. Thought this was gonna be happy fun chill times of self discovery, reveling in blinding nostalgia. And I did get some of that but...oh god that drove to the core. I cried. I absolutely panicked. I panicked over what others said, I panicked over what this poor desparate teen said. I had to replay Day 3 from closing it suddenly to calm down. And god the rush at the end. Brought back memories I'd forgotten of being a teen and enough being enough. Honestly some memories I forgot about, and I think I needed to remember to shatter some nostalgia funnily enough. And don't worry. push through. We'll figure it out :)
By far one of the greatest games I've ever played, could not stop crying.
This made me cry. A lot. It only takes 4 or so hours to play through in full, and I highly recommend it.
Fantastic game, cried half the time I played it, very emotional.
