About

Bloodthirsty hordes of demons, criminals, clowns, and undead have flooded the streets of the once semi-relevant metropolis. The pantheon of the most famous and charming superheroes are dead or AWOL. Who's left? Well, uh… you guys are. Pick a 'hero' and fight to save Mayor McTrinkle and the, like, two untouched buildings left in the city. You know the drill: step up to the plate for once in your life, pick a sidekick, improve your super-hero game, and survive at least until one of the other Second Rates wakes up at noon and takes over your shift. Keep it up and maybe you'll get your own comic one day... if there was anyone left to write it. With intricate, interwoven and deep gameplay, crazy weapon combos, 20 heroes, 4 sidekicks, 4 levels, 3 difficulties, more than 400 upgrade cards, 82 permanent upgrades, and sweet, sweet hand drawn art – you’ll die over and over from anything but boredom. Ain’t nothing wholesome here: be prepared for a heart pounding urban adventure that juices up the action roguelike genre.

A new twist on the genre, giving you a Taunt mechanic and the use of Turrets to defend the Mayor, rather than just yourself.
Choose from 20 heroes (16 of which are unlockable), each of which plays entirely different.
Choose from 5 different sidekicks / unpaid interns with different bonuses - provided they stick around.

Been waiting for something like this. Didn't want a cookie cutter superhero game from an established world/scenario so this fits the bill perfectly. Chill and play on my Ally. Nuff Said As of July 2026 plays beautiful on my Legion Go S Steam OS even though game doesn't have a "verified" status
NGL this game is underrated. Beginning can be really hard but if you invest the time into it it pays off as you get progressively stronger then as the description says you watch the numbers go up. There's some QOL issues, like text being hard to read at times. Also some of the heroes seem to outshine the others. But for what it is it's a lot of content for the price
edit: Heartbreaking - made 17 hours of progress on the steam deck but, despite the store page claiming this supports cloud saves, desktop and deck simply will not sync. I've tried all the usual methods and it just won't do it. Message boards have been dead for a month so I'm guessing this won't get fixed. I like the game but I ain't doin' that grind again. If you buy this game, don't rely on cloud saves. What a shame! - Novel take on a familiar formula. The combination of tower defense and survivor-like works really well, the taunt system adds a lot more moment-to-moment thought than these games sometimes call for. The very beginning is a little rough, I'm not sure the first unlocked characters best represent what's possible, but with a little grinding to learn the mechanics and the enemy behaviors, the metaprogression eventually lets you feel very in control. There's a bazillion unlocks too so you'll get your money's worth. My one criticism? The UI looks like hot garbage. The enemy and level designs are good but there too, the enemy projectiles tend to get lost in the noise in kind of an unfun way. You will be squinting at the screen a lot, especially if you're trying to read your stats page. But, a minor complaint. Game's fun!
I like this game a lot. The idea with Superheroes and their powers is great. Many powers have similar damage classes. The black cards really make a difference in the game and boost your powers a lot. From time to time it becomes a real battlefield with exploding enemies and stars everywhere. Nice combos are possibly and the hunt for more heroes and powers kept me a long time hooked!
The art style is cool. The gameplay is kinda fun, I like a lot of it. However I feel like its too grindy, upgrades feel lackluster, hard to tell good pickups from things you need to avoid sometimes, hard to see projectiles. There are much better games out there for this genre. Would love to see this title improve on some stuff so I can change this to a thumbs up.
the progress in the beginning was slow, but later more pleasant. now looking forward to new contents.
