At its core, it’s a simple platformer where you move forward or backward in time and interact with characters. Each character typically needs an item, and your job is to find and deliver it. For instance, if someone wants to bake cookies but lacks the tools, you might jump forward in time to get the tools and then return to change their outcome.

📝 Main Pros and Cons
Pros-

Soothing soundtrack.
Cutesy visuals.
Simple mechanics.
A lot of positivity.
Cons-

Lacks a proper plot.
Gets repetitive easily.
Very short- could be finished under 2 hours.

😇 Honest Rating

🔶 This game could have easily earned a higher score if it had a solid plot to go along with its mechanics, but hey, nothing’s perfect- neither is its rating. If you’re searching for a way to unwind after a stressful day, it’s a fantastic choice. However, for the average gamer looking for depth or complexity, it’s probably a pass.

Rating: 6/10 If I didn’t get the leaf, I would have not recommended this game (thanks for having mercy on me). It's hard not to give a positive review to such a cute and wholesome game. It has a really polished feel to it, too, and pleasant chill music. I'm not a fan of lo-fi graphics, but found it nice enough to look at. I love the idea of celebrating the seasons, and it's so nice to see the characters enjoy what each season has to offer. Quests for helping others are very much my kind of thing. The game is, however, entirely centered around moving back and forth (in only two directions) for fetch quests in a tiny world. You'll keep seeing the same four (?) strips of land and four (?) rivers and the same couple of NPC's who need or have an item. Sometimes you're supposed to "go back in time" quite far, with a pretty slow walking and especially swimming speed and no kind of shortcut or fast travel. I played through two seasons and started the third before I found it too slow and repetitive. It's not the kind of experience I'm looking for, but it may well be for other people and/or their young kids. * * * If you like chill and story-driven games, check out my curator Peaceful Adventures and Stories. In this heartwarming journey, you play as Sunny, a cute tanuki born on the warmest day of summer. Her special connection to the sun not only inspired her name but also gave her the power to control time. Wherever Sunny goes, the sun follows, bringing warmth and joy to everyone along the way. Your adventure kicks off at a bonfire, where you'll set out to explore the world and meet plenty of new friends. Some of them seem anxious about the upcoming seasonal gathering, and it’s your job to set their minds at ease and help them prepare for the festivities. Conversations with your animal friends are generally simple and focused mainly on discussing the items they need. You can't respond or choose dialogue options, but occasionally, what might seem like basic exchanges can resonate deeply and even touch you emotionally. Assisting your friends will often require puzzle-solving skills, as some items you need to collect are only found in the past or future. By walking backward, you can travel back in time, while stepping forward lets you move through the present day. If you're unhappy with the results of your choices, you can always return to the past to create a new future. The items you collect will be added to your inventory, allowing you to carry as many as you’d like. Although there’s no system for tracking the items you need other than memorizing them, traveling back and forth in time is straightforward due to the small size of the world. The size, along with the restriction of only moving left and right, can make it feel repetitive. Still, the seasonal changes and upgrades to the world add enough variety to keep the experience from feeling too tedious. After helping your friends prepare for the seasonal gathering, you’ll come together to celebrate change and friendship. While I wish the events were interactive, it’s gratifying to see the items you helped collect and make appear at the celebration. Following the festivities, you’ll do one more lap around the world, reflecting on your journey and reading about your previous adventures. To end the day, you'll return to the bonfire, just as you started, and rest before stepping into the new season. Seasonspree encourages you to take your time, enjoy the small moments, and cherish the warmth of friendship. Though short, it offers a truly heartwarming experience.
This game's mechanics and puzzles are below elementary; if you like the art, what you see is what you get. The story is not deep and there is nothing hidden to discover.
Finished this game in about 2 and a half hours but it was a lovely cozy time. I would understand why it wouldn't be for everyone considering the repetitiveness of it as well as the simplicity on game-play but I think that's part of this games charm. The dialog leaves one feeling warm and fuzzy. My favorite part was the story the owl would write wrapping up the season and what happened during said season. To finish this review I'm gonna go ahead and say if ANYTHING happened to Sunny I'm gonna go on a rampage for revenge.
Seasonspree is such a beautiful game about doing tasks for the community and building friendships. The game is very cute and cozy with a wonderful art style. The method of getting around grows with the game and it makes it fun and a bit different going through the game. The ending is sweet and made me tear up a bit. I'd recommend getting this game if you like cute animals and cozy vibes.
I can't hate this game. The idea is great! You go right and advance time; you go left and travel back in time. It is cute, but so boring. You basically run back and forth to pick up items and give them away. So it is basically a walking simulator with some light puzzles. That sounds great, but the rivers are only prolonging the game; they kill the flow. Many times, you have to go back and forth and swim just painfully slow. Later, you can upgrade to skip them, but it's too late. Some other music tracks could solve it, but that 1+1 is just too few to keep up the coziness. But for its price, it's worth experiencing it.
Short, sweet and incredibly cute!
I like this game. It is so sooooothing. You go forwards and backwards in a beautiful world, trying to help your friends. My kids are too old for this game, but I think it would be very fun to play this with 4-9 year old kids. That said, I'm an adult and I am enjoying this game. It's a bit of peace and kindness in a chaotic world.
