the game will make you sick in under 5 min.
Here's my quick review: Great concept....buggy to play. Love the idea of commanding my own ship....actually doing so (atm) is a big pain in the butt. For the oculus, it is nearly impossible to steer, hard to aim the long tom, and forget trying to turn your view completely. You face in the direction where you want to go. Glitchy: Many times (sooo many times) I tried to ram the enemy ships....only to sail THROUGH them....yes, you heard me.....through them. I watched in awe and horror as their deck passed through my own ship ...their crew floating across my ship (and I swear they were taunting me while doing so ) and the entirety of their ship phased through and ended up behind me....only to pummel me with cannon fire. Laggy: Soo laggy...needs optmization. Screen flickered and twitched....stuttereing a lot also. Multiplayer only: Devs, please add solo campaigns. I am concerned....there are NUMEROUS games out there where we can't play multiplayer (or play AT ALL) due to no one else playing. (Thinking of LightStirke....Eternity Warriors...and a host of others). Sea Battle Vr is one of the most promising games I have tried in a while. It has bugs, bugs, bugs.....but it is has promise. Sea Battle Vr is original in concept...it's not an "on the rails" shooter....it's not an "escape the room" puzzler. It's a very unique experience. I am recommending it..NOT on its' current playability, but rather on its' potential. Yes, this game has issues (sooo many), but it's an experience like no other. It needs work.....but I believe in this games potential.
You get what you pay for . Not a very well allocated game . The transitions are not smooth at all . The ai that drives the boat when you run up to fire cannons are about the dumbest helmsman ever sailing the boat in circles. i would not recommend this game. Also There is nothing realistic about this game honestly the emersion is ruined with the less than mine craft graphics.
Surprised it worked on the oculus. It has much things to do including free movement. It was a steal for what you get and what it costs.
Holy hell. This game is awful. The controls are clunky, and the entire thing feels like it was thrown together in a rush.
Wasn't that good of a game, I was looking forward for the Online Multiplayer, but soon as I join this game, I was greeted with online leaderboard. Could not find any online battles my crew was all AI, and the gameplay make me sick with poor refresh rate as the game would lag in certain areas. all my settings was default I meet the recommended requirements, it recommends the 980 or higher, I have a GTX 980 TI and was still getting fps issues depending on which way I look.
I can't play the game. It's only reconnecting. What is the problem? I use OculusLift s.
when I saw this game I thought that looks sounds like a great idea a ship to ship battle game. I was wrong this game has terible frame rate has the sound effects of a bad arkage game and boring gun play. the game uses HMD directional movement meaning you need to look in the direction you want to move, you can't change it ether you are stuck with it. the arms are realy badly done to start with thay are atatched to the place where normaly your ears would be, the hands extend past the controlers by I think about 8-15 centermeaters making them incredably imertion braking. the only positive is it looks like it gets updated frequently. If some one made an arkade game and ported it to VR with very little upgrades this feels like it would be the result. thay will hopfully make it better in future updates but currently I can't recomend it.
