About
We're still waiting for Valve to officially verify Scarlet Deer Inn, but we designed the game to work well on it.
ABOUT
Scarlet Deer Inn is an embroidered dark medieval folk tale. While life in a seemingly ordinary village is all about simple chores and idle gossip, sinister secrets hide below.

Beautiful hand-painted backgrounds and traditional animations crafted from physically embroidered frames.
A world filled with colourful characters.
Hidden shortcuts in the dark that make each playthrough easier.
Folk music inspired by the Middle Ages and performed on traditional instruments.
THE STORY
Elise is a mother of two. She is not exactly extraordinary, and there are no heroic epics written about her.
Her circumstances will force her to explore unusual places and face dark, terrifying situations.
THE TEAM
Attu Games is a husband-and-wife team from the Czech Republic. During the development of Scarlet Deer Inn, their duo expanded into a trio with the birth of their baby, bringing a whole new level of chaos to the process.

Very cute adventure game with some platforming elements. If these devs ever make another game, I hope it gets to be a bit longer! I love the world and the way medieval life is depicted. Love the fairy tale story too.
The game is really fun and creepy. The graphics are fantastic with a great soundtrack.

I'm following this game for a while and now that it's out and I play it I can say it's a good game even if it has some problems. Scarlet deer inn it's a story driven platformer where we are Elise, owner of the scarlet deer inn that has to embark on a journey in the Slavic folklore to understand what's happening in the village and why there are children disappearing, the story is great, love the characters and the interaction with them, but I kinda don't understand some of the parts of it, maybe they are part or legends of the Slavic folklore but it's not really explained and kinda feels random at times. The gameplay is divided in two parts: the exploration of the caves underneath the village and the village itself with more of apoint and click adventure style of gameplay, the exploration of the cave is a big part of the game and it's the platforming part, you jump, solve puzzles and progress to this complex cave system in search of what really is happening to the village and in the village part like I said before it's a more point and click type of gameplay where: you explore, collect item and try to find what you need to progress the story, this part is done well, the dialogue its well written and its always clear what you need to do. The game is done well but it has some problems, I mean sure i think you supposed to be and feel lost in a mine/cave system like that but sometimes feels like you walking in circles and not progressing especially at the start with multiple branches and not really knowing where you're going, the combat feels like added just to be added, enemies are not that great to fight especially at the end where you seem them a lot of time already, so yeah it's a nice mix of gameplays but something it's still rough to be honest. The graphics is original, every character and their speech bubble ( which every character has it's own with different colours, patterns and details that makes the dialogue so much more unique and original), animal, monster it's embroidered and it's has this fantastic aesthetic that is really unique for any game I ever played, the backgrounds and scenery are also really good sure there are some problems with the foreground objects not being put in the right place or moving when they should be stationary, other than that the game on this aspect is impeccable, the soundtrack too with some really good upbeat songs and nice folk music especially in those chase scenes the music is really fun and engaging. It's an original tale of the Slavic folklore that to be honest I really enjoyed it has some problems but I do love the effort and the amazing talent that the developers put into this game, the embroidered character it's a really original and I do love it, more games should be this original in games, of course I recommend it.
wo, heard about it from a yt video was kinda nervous cuz of the maturity rating but its mor halloween scarry than actually scarry. good experience for sure!
Lovely game! Charming art, nice story (inspiration from Kytice is very refreshing to see), and the dialogues are perfect - Czech version anyway, I don't know how well the nuances of the language translate but the original is just great, I feel like I know exactly who Eliska would be and how she would talk. Also, I did not know I can *hear* subtitles but the pacing and emphasis (shaking words) along with the characters make it work like a charm, no voiceover needed. The soundtrack is also killer, especially how the music fits the gameplay. Also, I think I hear some inspiration from Hades and Witcher but it works very well. Minor spoilers ahead: Some of the platforming sections felt a bit long, fighting also felt a bit out of place (I would have probably enjoyed more puzzles). The final boss battle was quite nice even though I had to repeat it a few times but I'm unsure about who's the target audiance - up until that point the combat and platforming was relatively easy but the boss steps things up quite a bit (I actually did not know I can kill the dudes with the light up until then). Otherwise I've not encountered any real bugs, the only problem I had was that I got stuck at the start, when I went below for the fist time because I did not notice I have to crouch to progress foward (it looked like a solid wall to me). But anyway, I enjoyed the contrast between the bright and beautiful world above with quests and great dialogue, and the dark world below. However, I found myself wanting to explore more of the above, than jump around below. I wish the authors the best of luck and looking forward to play more of their games in the future :)
Absolute Cinema. No Notes.
To quote the classic: A raw fairytale horror, [strike]The Thirteen Mothers-in-Law[/strike] The Brave Inkeeper. I originally thought it might be a nice game for my eight-year-old daughter, but the visit to the beekeeper proved me wrong. As for the platforming gameplay, it's pretty much Hollow Knight from Wish. However, judging by the story and execution, I'm absolutely thrilled with the fairytale motifs, the art style, and the fantastic music. I even listened to the soundtrack on its own. In any case, I don't regret supporting such a unique title, which, thanks to its bold artistic concept, could be compared to the recently released Phonopolis by Amanita Design.
A very enjoyable game with a compelling story. At first glance, the maze-like network of corridors seems quite complicated, but you only get lost or stuck occasionally. The game's biggest downside is its length. It takes only about three hours to complete, which feels a bit too short. On the other hand, the graphics are excellent, and the controls are simple, intuitive, and easy to learn. Overall, it's a great experience that's definitely worth playing.
It was a fun simple game! Love how the simple mechanic can be used for the whole game and I especially loved the chase part!! Beautiful and fun soundtrack as well!
En: It was incredibly atmospheric and beautiful! I really liked the unconventional choice of the main character (a single mother of two children) I don’t have children, but I felt as though Elishka’s children were my own, especially when I could hear the sound of a heartbeat in the background during the main character’s panic attacks and moments of fear. I played the game in Czech and managed to immerse myself 100% in the atmosphere and understand the lyrics of those amazing soundtracks, which give the game that atmosphere that kept me glued to the screen. I also really loved the storyline involving the girl who needed her eyes, hands, and legs restored. The unexpected execution literally left me speechless with surprise. Brilliant and breathtaking! I’m so glad Warhorse promoted your game, because you deserve a lot of attention! Thank you! :) Cz: Bylo to šíleně atmosférické a nádherné! Skvělé a ohromující! Jsem moc ráda, že vaši hru propagovali Warhorse, protože si zasloužíte velkou pozornost! Děkuju! :)
