It definitely scratches a certain itch, yet still needs work. 30 mins into a run and enter a room where barriers spawn to block your way (normal), except nothing spawns. All you can do at that point is abandon the run.
Game definitely has potential, I can see the inspiration from Tiny Rogues one of the roguelites I love the most. I like how, at first glance, I see enough items to have a good build diversity and bosses are fun but I do believe other gameplay mechanics are holding them back to really shine. While I've enjoyed the first couple of runs it's pretty obvious the game has lot's of things that could be a lot better: - Slow movement/Corridors are too big: The corridors between rooms feel too long for how slow the character's default movement speed is. - Aiming: The aim while moving feels clunky and most of times aims to other places (maybe it takes the place where I'm aiming at the start of the animation not the place I'm aiming when the attack launches or viceversa). I tried to figure out why it feels this way for a bit without luck but it's something really noticeable. - Cursed dragon claw: This upgrade should only work on combat, there is no reason I can should be able to fully heal after each combat by just standing still for a bit. - Bone Snake Cheese: You should not be able to kill bone snake mobs in the middle of rooms before entering the room, they should rather be hidden until you enter the room and locks you in or invulnerable until you enter. - Lack of i-frames: Dash should have some i-frames for it to feel better than just to get through the map faster Unless you are really into roguelite games like Tiny Rogues is probably best to wait on this game for a while until some stuff gets worked on. I realise it's a 4€ game but I believe everything but the minimap could be easily fixable with some updates. I hope the best for the developer and I hope he puts a bit more work into this to make it as great as it truly can be.
