About
The Mayor of Bumblebrook is corrupt, cruel, and impossible to ignore.
Violence was never your style, so you came up with a better plan:
Make life so miserable for the Mayor that he abandons the town for good.
It was the perfect plan.
Then Barnaby Bristle heard about it.
Eager to help save Bumblebrook, Barnaby immediately joined the cause. Unfortunately, he's not particularly interested in following your lead. He's recruiting his own crews, carrying out his own schemes, and creating almost as many problems as he solves.
Now you and Barnaby are both working to drive the Mayor from town. Whether Barnaby is helping or hindering often depends on the day. After all, Barnaby knows best. Just ask him.
Recruit townsfolk, assemble specialized crews, complete increasingly outrageous schemes, and use every advantage at your disposal as you push the Mayor beyond his breaking point.
But be careful.
The more mischief you and Barnaby cause, the harder the Mayor pushes back. His jail is already filling with troublemakers, and if it becomes too crowded, he may decide it's finally time to put Bumblebrook's rusty old guillotine back into service.
Recruit Planners, Mystics, Roughnecks, Scholars, Wranglers, and Rogues to build specialized crews capable of carrying out scheme after scheme.
The people of Bumblebrook never run out of creative ways to make life miserable for the Mayor.
Assemble the right combination of recruits to complete schemes, generate Mischief, and push the Mayor closer to abandoning the town. Every completed scheme also determines how your recruits must be posted on the Town's Most Wanted Board.
Every successful scheme attracts attention.
As recruits participate in your plans, their wanted posters must be placed on the Wanted Board. Arrange them carefully—you must always choose the row, column, or diagonal with the most empty spaces.
Placing a wanted poster on top of the same recruit's poster sends that recruit to jail.
Every arrest weakens your rebellion as the jail fills closer to capacity, bringing the Mayor one step closer to restoring Bumblebrook's rusty guillotine. At the same time, each arrest frees space on the Wanted Board, creating new opportunities to continue your campaign of carefully planned irritation.
Not every recruit is needed for every scheme.
Call on recruit services to refill your crew, find exactly who you need, manipulate the Wanted Board, and even orchestrate strategic arrests so you can break key recruits out later.
Every service opens new tactical possibilities for keeping your rebellion alive.
Barnaby means well.
Usually.
Watch him recruit townsfolk and enthusiastically mismanage his own campaign to save Bumblebrook. Sometimes he'll help. Sometimes he'll create entirely new problems.
Learning how to work around Barnaby may prove just as important as dealing with the Mayor himself.
Travel between locations that offer unique strategic advantages, unlock improved recruit abilities through repeated play, and discover new ways to overcome the Mayor's growing resistance.

This game is really fun, especially with all the silliness and personality. The only thing it's missing right now is a proper tutorial. At first I found it quite confusing, but once I figured out how everything worked, it became a really enjoyable and strategic experience. It honestly reminded me of opening an old board game for the first time and slowly learning the rules, there's a satisfying moment when everything clicks. If you enjoy strategy and card games and don't mind a bit of a learning curve, I definitely recommend giving it a try!
Really enjoy a lot playing this game! The card and board game with strategy mechanics yet simple gameplay really engaging a lot! Every move will affect for your winning chance. It might takes 1-2 playthrough to get used to the gameplay, but once you're understand the flow of the mechanic, you will enjoy it a lot to learn new strategy to winning this game. Really recommend it if you like board-card game with strategy mechanics!
I had a lot of fun playing the game overall. I liked the card and strategy mechanics, and thinking about different moves as I progressed was enjoyable for me. It took me some time to get used to some of the mechanics at first, but I started enjoying the game more as I learned how to play. I definitely recommend giving it a chance if you enjoy strategy and card games.
Saving Bumblebrook is a fun solo strategy card game where you recruit townsfolk to prank a corrupt mayor out of town. The Wanted Board mechanic takes a game or two to click (lots of rules stacked at once), but a solid tutorial and gradual unlock system ease you in, and rival Barnaby keeps things unpredictable. Recommended for anyone who enjoys puzzle-y strategy games with a bit of a learning curve.
Saving Bumblebrook feels genuinely unique within the card game genre. It doesn't try to imitate other popular deck-builders or strategy card games, and I really appreciate that. From the moment you launch the game, you immediately understand your objective. The game has a charming, satirical tone and the humor landed well for me. Combined with its playful and whimsical soundtrack it creates a memorable atmosphere that fits the overall theme perfectly. My biggest criticism, however, is the onboarding experience. The game throws the player directly into the game with very little guidance. To be fair, there is a large amount of information available in the Objectives section, which I appreciate. The problem is that understanding the rules on paper is very different from understanding how the game functions in practice. For example, actions such as scouting for recruits or taking cards from the discard pile are explained well enough. However, once I had the cards in my hand, I often found myself asking, "What do I do next?" I could swap cards, send recruits and potentially complete pranks, but I didn't always understand how to perform these actions or why they worked. There were moments where I completed a prank and wasn't entirely sure which sequence of actions had led to it. I also believe the main gameplay screen lacks a clear focal point. There are many UI elements competing for the player's attention and as a new player it wasn't immediately obvious which information was critical and which was secondary. Certain UI elements become highlighted but it isn't always clear what interaction is expected from the player. The interesting part is that, despite these issues, I still found myself wanting to understand the game better. Once I read through the complete rules, I realized there is a surprisingly deep and interesting strategy game underneath. In my opinion, Saving Bumblebrook's biggest opportunity for improvement is not its gameplay, but how it teaches that gameplay to new players. An interactive tutorial, contextual tooltips and a more gradual introduction to mechanics during the first few turns would significantly improve the first-time player experience. Overall, I enjoyed the game's unique identity, humor, music and core concept. Saving Bumblebrook has a lot of charm and a strong foundation. I just wish it did a better job of helping new players understand its systems so they can appreciate what the game has to offer much sooner. Despite its shortcomings, I would still recommend giving the game a try if its concept interests you. The developer is actively updating and improving the game and I'm confident that, with time, Saving Bumblebrook will continue to grow into something even better. If you decide to pick it up, I'd encourage you to leave your own review and share your experience as well.
