In general, walking sims can be short experiences but Sapling turns out to be the shortest I have every played. It really takes only a couple of minutes to complete and it offers no replay value, unfortunately. I assume this is something experimental and we can hear from bland man studios in the future once more. Important items are a sapling and a flower in the story and their potential future. Such story is not everybody's cup of tea. I wish the hobbit-like dwelling can be entered into! It is not your usual walking sim but I think you can give it a try if you have a couple of minutes to spare.

super!
Actually beat this in like 4 minutes (yes, it's that short), but played it for an extra to review it. Bit boring and cheesy for a walking sim if you ask me. Looks good tho and the music is chill. Might as well take a couple of minutes out of your day if you're bored to check it out regardless I guess.
Before I played Sapling, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good

Follow "First Person Exploration and Puzzle Games" for more games like this!
A narrative walking simulator with 4 minutes of gameplay. I literally had to sit at the main menu for an extra minute just to write this review. Like most bad Unreal games, the game opens up VR even though it doesn't support it. I'm not really sure there's anything to recommend here. It takes longer to read some of the reviews than to play the game. It's an extremely short story about some plants, with like two animations to watch.
A short tale about an oak tree and a flower, both sweet and a bit sad. More of an "Experience" than a "Game". You have a small environment to walk around in while listening to the story, when one part is done you just walk over to the next glowing thing to continue. [...or you can just watch the cute duck swim around on the pond and forget what you were doing.] It was only about 5-ish minutes to play through, and was very pleasant. If a love story about potted plants sounds like your cup of tea, you'll probably enjoy it.
Genuine review - LETS SPLIT IT UP SHALL WE ====================== GRAPHICS - I was amazed at what I seen as I first loaded into the game, the same, the same "sapling" over and over, a pond with a duck in it, a little grass dirt house hut thing and a gate that had a few trees behind it. What can I say except Its just pretty ordinary. ====================== STORY - Now this is the fun part, I don't even know what was happening man it just did things and I watched a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mini tree garden itself then this man just rambled on as two trees mini trees tangled together, somehow after that I managed to initiate a cutscene. I mean it was alright I guess but the whole story I managed to speedrun in about 180 seconds ====================== GAMEPLAY - Well there just ain't much too say here you literally walk around and that's it, there's a "h" help button and it's useless also can't swim with duck -10 points ====================== FINAL THOUGHTS - I'm sorry whoever made this but like man I wouldn't play it even if I was paid.
Sapling Positives: + Cute little "story" + Very calm and relaxing + Nice artstyle + Relaxing music + Good voiceover + Its free Negatives: - Almost nothing to do or see - Extremely short length (they were not joking about 5 minutes) If you feel stressed and need some minutes to calm down, play this game. Total Score: 7/10
