About
Sandustry is a factory automation game where every pixel is a resource waiting to be mined, mixed, processed, or destroyed. Explore a vast and fully-destructible open world as you seek out powerful artifacts left behind by an ancient civilization.

You’ve arrived on a vast unexplored planet filled with diverse biomes and beautiful landscapes – time to bring the fires of industry! From humble beginnings sifting gold from sand, you will quickly build a growing factory, unlocking powerful new technologies and production chains as you assess the viability of the planet for further industrialization. Countless options lie before you – will you focus on developing more advanced processing and logistical capabilities across your rapidly-expanding factory? Will you take advantage of local wildlife to aid with your mission? Or will you prioritize the hunt for artifacts, spending valuable resources to unlock access to their boons? And hey, there’s no faster way to mine than with the help of a rocket launcher, right? Build a beacon of industry and automation starting with nothing more than the trusty conveyor belt, incorporating filters, drones, pipes, pumps, and a myriad of other parts as you harness nature itself to do your bidding.

From individual grains of sand and flakes of snow to seeds, spores, and chips of ice, every pixel in Sandustry is a physical entity with its own properties. Discover countless chemical and physical reactions and exploit them to develop your production chains, building a pixel-perfect factory to optimize every step, or embracing chaotic webworks of conveyor belts and lifts as long as they get the job done – but be warned, sand is coarse, rough, and it gets everywhere, which introduces a new layer of complexity. The resources in Sandustry react to each other and the world around them – ice melts into water when heated, which turns to steam and rises if brought to a boil (only to come back down as rain if you let it reach the skies). Sand absorbs water around it, slowly depleting limited reservoirs to provide the wet sand that can be sifted for gold, while watered seeds bloom into flowers that can be ignited with fire to produce vital resources.

Deep beneath the planet’s surface lie countless mysteries for you to explore. Find clever ways to overcome the challenges left behind by an ancient civilization to uncover vaults of great knowledge and power. Nothing punches through a thick wall of ice like a freshly purchased flamethrower, but perhaps you can find a way to redirect some lava instead?

Built with modding in mind, Sandustry lets you explore everything from visual tweaks and hand-crafted maps to entirely new buildings and processes that you can integrate into your production chains. Dedicated modding tools make it easy to customize your experience, share your ideas with the world, and even overhaul the whole game!
As you delve deeper into the planets of Sandustry and expand your industrial capabilities, the challenges will grow, but so too will your ways to overcome them. With fully destructible worlds where every pixel is a resource to be harnessed, your options are limitless.

Sort of like Powder Toy, but a proper game. The factory building aspect is awesome! The exploration is okay too, sort of Noita-esque but not really too exciting.

I found myself getting bored between the long travels up to your factory then down to the mines again. The Factory building part is fun but there is a lack of methods to do things.

Loving this game so far. Considering it's early access, it's already got hours of gameplay for a very good price.
cool game but eventually starts to lag when i mined out the entire world fun for a few hours simple game
10/10 my favorite factory game
The game is very fun. Building factories and managing the production is quite polished for a game that is still in early access. I had a few visual bugs while playing like the textures not rendering and am hoping it will get fixed soon. There is not much of a end game yet and the current final achievement is a drag. My game was starting to run on 20ups after the 200k gold mark. The goal of 1mil gold is very difficult to manage right now as: The gold takes a lot of space (liquid gold is a bit better for this) You have to dig out almost the whole map to get the gold but the digging tech is not that good, mainly because of the unbreakable walls or the hard to break stones making end game logistics harder than it needs to be.
Suggestions to the developer team
Add better logistics option (more upgrades to make it faster or sth) The filters were kinda slow. Maybe i was using them wrong but even the advanced filters when used as conveyor belt was too slow for logistics which made high throughput separation of items hard. Water is too difficult to manage. (there is a cryoblaster and a flame thrower to create water so why not just make a steam or even better direct water gun), (the water critter upgrade was nice but to reach 1mil gold even with that new water critters managing water was too difficult, a system to automate water production will be very appreciated. The game needs some optimization for later stages of game as the ups drop was too much (around 20ups barely on my system with it sometimes reaching single digits) Better tools to breaks stone would have been great (maybe making it so that void gun (a late game tool) could break stone and copper) Upgrades to the with of laser Auto light upgrade on mining to automatically add lamps Better traversal methods (the grappling hooks feels half bakes in a game where you can literally fly. maybe making hover allowed to go through terrain on the places that have already been explored meke it better.
Bugs i encountered
Missing textures on some late game items Issue with textures, the foundation block had red lines on right side and bottom of the block (visual glitch)
Final words
Do try this game if you like factory building games like factorio, or if you want to challenge yourself into building some design
even in early acess you can do so much........if you build big enough compartments for each item and remember to send the gold....you can melt the gold if that helps im not sure but it works for me.....
Das my ♥♥♥♥
A game with a simple idea but so much depth, amazing. I'm looking forward for future updates and a continued development. The most I liked that the game is not telling you what to do now. You need to figure out what you do with the new material you got, how to set up the systems and automate things. 100% recommend if you are into games like Satisfactroy, Factorio or similar games
