Good game but some of the vehicles controls are terable and I didn't finde a way to change them, which isn't nice when a lot of the game you play in a vehicle (I played with mouse and keyboard).

I really wanted to like this game, unfortunately, the gameplay is dull. The graphical style, vehicle and character design, voice actors, the world itself - all are great, but do not justify buing this if vehicle combat is repetitive, on-foot combat is clunky and the quests are the same thing sprinkled all over. Vehicle customization is very basic and feels like swapping equipment in a typical jrpg. There are no complex systems at work here like stronger parts having more weight requiring you to install better engines or else your top speed becomes dangerously low in combat, but the better engines generate more heat which shortens your boost time- that sort of thing. There are no tough choices, no different builds to consider - just simple stat upgrades. A waste considering this game is so vehicle focused. Perhaps later on the game gets better, but after 7 hours I think I have invested enough time.
Overall, I enjoyed this game. It follows keypoints of the Anime series (which very likely follows keypoints of the Manga, which I yet have to read). I enjoyed the loop and would put it right next to Mad Max and Days Gone to the "cozy open world games where fighting and leveling up is fun" box. However, there are 3 things that I hated during my 40 hours till the credits rolled (roughly 90% of content played, only racing side missions were left and a small area which I didn't bother: - The constant chatter. Others mentioned it before. But 40 hours of the same questions, the same snarky comments can really get to you - The forced sneaking in enemy bases makes no sense when otherwise you mop the floor with all enemies. I wish the game would give me a "bonus" for getting sneakily in and out but would otherwise let me go on a rampage, instead of forcefully resetting me once I'm spotted - The menus for upgrading, swapping items etc. could really learn something from games like The Division. I didn't even bother selling items I did not need because it was so clunky. Not being able to mark items as junk or scrap them in the selection / upgrade menu directly really hurts the flow and makes item juggling a chore. But other than that, this is a lovely one-off story. It does not need a sequel. I'm just happy it exists. Thanks, Akira Toriyama and everyone involved in this.
