After 25 hours in, I completed the Royal Secret No More main quest. It's a great game, seeing that I've read and watched the manga and Anime that goes along with the game. There's more to do in this game and I'm going to have so much more fun trying to figure it out.
Sand Land is a surprisingly fun romp through a huge world. I've been looking for a game like this since Mad Max (2015), and surprisingly, it does scratch that itch, though the driving isn't nearly as good. Don't go into it with too-high expectations, set the bar just high enough that you can sit on it and have a cup of tea, and you'll enjoy your time with it. Likes: Vehicle combat is simple but fun. Guns and supers are meaty and pack a punch. The world is surprisingly large. Driving around and trying out the various vehicles is tons of fun. Characters are written well with lovable personalities. Lighthearted tone. All cutscenes can be skipped. Neutral: Vehicle combat is repetitive and simplistic (hello circle strafing), so if you don't enjoy it, it'll get stale very quickly. Combat on foot is meh at best. Some story segments (especially in the later half) are too drawn-out. There's not much incentive to explore the map, unless you like exploration, and to be fair it is really fun to drive around. Dislikes: Voice lines repeat over and OVER AGAIN. Forced stealth sections are absolutely terrible. Last tier of upgrades doesn't unlock until postgame. Some maps (battleship interiors) are obviously just time-wasters. I especially liked that the main character is just absolutely confident about everything. Where a more "modern" protagonist might doubt their ability, or question their morality, or sink into depression, our boy is just "yeah we're the best, I'm the best, let's go kick their butts", which is a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed almost all of my 36 hours in Sand Land, and I'll probably pop back in from time to time just to drive around, so it gets a thumbs up.
Must play for Akira Toriyama fans! Enjoyed the whole time I played this game. Gonna watch the anime now.
It was fine (more or less), until they started restricting progressiion through race mechanics and dodgy boss fights, terrible. I enjoyed watching the anime, but anything with competitive game mechanics can go burn !!!
♥♥♥♥ pacing post sucks ass
Tank go brr
Good game. Lots to do and I might say too much to do after you beat the main story of the game. I'd suggest playing on hard. Where is the sequel? I'd get it.
可可爱爱的画风,这才是JRPG该有的样子
:)
Not bad, it's fun. The story is a bit banal. The game has a touch of Borderlands about it.
