About
Face off against friends on the couch, or play online in 1v1 and Free-for-All battles. Enjoy reliable rollback netcode in Ranked and Casual Matchmaking. You can even set up a private lobby to hang out and play with your friends.
HAYAO is the best character to start with. He is by far the fastest character in the game, and in Samurai GUNN 2, that makes him one of the strongest.
OTOMO shoots fireballs that can trap opponents (and herself if you’re not careful!). She can slash through her fire traps to gain an incredible boost of speed for a limited time.
GOLEM can create destructible stone blocks with his bullets. He can even create statues that can obstruct, frustrate, and crush opponents.
POPS is slow and strong–very dangerous in close quarters. He can dash-grab opponents and send them flying to their explosive deaths. He can even dash-grab their bullets and return-to-sender. His bullets explode on impact and the splash damage can kill through walls.
GHOST has an echo float ability that makes her unpredictable in air combat. Pay close attention because her bullets are invisible, She can temporarily turn invisible as well when she dashes. Chain together successive kills to remain invisible and terrify your opponents.
SLUG is the choice for high IQ players. So many tricks–he can stick to walls and run on the ceiling. He shoots kunai instead of bullets that he (or his opponents!) can retrieve and re-fire. He can tilt the kunai in unpredictable directions. He’s kind of slow, but he has a fast-fall mixup to catch opponents off-guard. Try him once you’ve mastered the basics.
Helmsley is our most complicated character by far. Grind along stage surfaces to earn ammo, then use ammo to charge up your next move, whether that's firing a shotgunn with crazy spread, or going full berserk with a giant iron sword. Do you have the guts to take on Helmsley's mental load? Mastering Helmsley will require even the best Samurai Gunn players to retrain their muscle memory.
RANNO plays completely differently than the samurai characters, retaining his unique traits from Rivals of Aether. Fast on the ground + slow in the air, Ranno can fling around the stage with his toxic tongue grab, launch a spread of poisonous darts, and tumble unsuspecting opponents with his bubble trap.

One of the best fighting games. Few inputs, but hard to master. Good to play local and online. Beautiful game.
Good platform fighter it's got some nice depth even though the basics to get into playing are pretty simple. Very low player count so don't count on queuing into games unfortunately. You can join the fight nights on the discord and it's a nice game with mates nonetheless. FYI the netcode and online performance has been great
good
yeah im thinking its peak. excited to see what they add bc its really fun
The game's really fun and full of extremely silly characters that are fun to both fight and play as, which is pretty impressive. Also you can play dead. The dog looks the funniest when doing so. This information is crucial. Obviously there isn't too many people playing the game, so I would suggest checking out the discord server to help find people to play with, since the community there is really great and passionate. The devs have a lot planned for the game still, so I suggest to at least check out the free version. It's straight up the full game with only one nuance - you get access to only two characters. If you decide to play ranked, your rank will be retained when you switch to the full version. Might be irrelevant to some, but ranked is the most active mode, so.
Simple enough for the couch. Deep enough for the sweat.
Very fun game, super easy to pick up but hard to master. You can tell the devs put effort into it and enjoy it. The fast gameplay feels fun as a newcomer, and lets you be very expressive with your gameplay and adapting to your opponent. Free version is very nice to get your friends into the game and have fun on local or online play, it is actually not limiting at all depending on which character you want to main. The artstyle is amazing and the music is also a banger. Both artistically and mechanically awesome. The discord server is also very nice and welcoming.
Just like the other greats: easy to pick up, but hard to master. There is a surprising amount of thought and complexity in this game. Despite having a relatively small playerbase, most matches feel unique because players give their characters so much life. The current character roster is already quite diverse. Each matchup will challenge you in a different way and teach you something new about the game. The 1 shot kill mechanic does wonders for pacing, as you are always on the edge of your seat, trading lives with your opponent. The only thing that kinda sucks right now is the wait time on ranked, but the game's discord is cool and will help you with that. Give Samurai Gunn 2 a try. It's pretty rad!
This game feels like a game Roderick from diary of a wimpy kid would play as Greg Heffley has a mental break down because some girl doesnt like him. 10/10
