About
Dive into the thrilling world of high-stakes auctions, meticulous restoration, and profitable retail in Salvage Shop Simulator. Your journey begins as a humble shop owner turning discarded container cargo into a thriving business empire.
Your inventory comes from one place: exciting container auctions. Each massive metal box has been salvaged from the deep, holding untold potential. With only 10 seconds to peek inside and make a split-second evaluation, you must quickly identify valuable finds and hidden junk. You'll be competing against a cast of NPC opponents, each with their own unique bidding personality and style. Learn their habits, anticipate their moves, and use clever tactics to secure the best haul at the lowest possible price.
Once the auction gavel drops and you secure your win, the real work begins. You'll need to load the winning items onto your transport vehicle. Start small, but as your profits grow, you can purchase new, larger vehicles to handle even the biggest hauls. Master the physics and the art of efficient loading to maximize every trip back to your shop.
Every item needs attention before it hits the shelves. Engage in satisfying minigames to bring life back to discarded goods:
Cleaning: Scrub off the grime and dirt with a dedicated cleaning minigame.
Repair: Use your workbench to restore items to better condition, boosting their potential sale price.
Evaluate: Visit an expert to evaluate the true value of your items. Be wary of bootlegs!
Your shop is your stage. You have full control over the retail space:
Custom Shop Layout: Personally design and arrange the shelving units and racks to maximize floor space and create the most appealing layout.
Merchandise Display: Carefully place each item on the shelves, deciding how to best showcase your top-tier finds and attract customer attention.
Personalize Your Space: Inject personality into your store by painting the walls. A visually appealing shop draws in more clientele!
The journey doesn't end with one successful shop. As your reputation and bankroll grow:
Unlock New Auction Locations: Gain access to different ports and specialized auction houses, offering higher-risk, higher-reward containers.
Expand Your Business: Acquire new, larger store locations in different parts of the city.
Reclaim New Property: Each new shop location needs your touch! You'll need to personally clean up and organize the newly acquired property before it’s ready to become your next retail hotspot.
Do you have the keen eye of a deal-maker, the steady hand of a restorer, and the business sense of a mogul? Test your skills and build a salvage empire in Salvage Shop Simulator!

Reviews
I looked at reviews before i bought it and was off-putting, but as it was on sale i thought id give it a go as its my sort of game. Most of the bad reviews are due to performance and bugs, im nearly 2 hours in and have not yet encountered any issues. So far the game is chill and enjoyable, feels great to play. Only dislike is that the time confuses me, on when store opens, just seems randomised, it needs a fixed time for opening like 8am and close at 6pm or later. But at the moment its not a deal breaker. I will update this review as i progress but for what i paid and the enjoyment so far its definitely worth the purchase. Updated review after nearly 12 hours of play. Have encountered a few issues/bugs. The reach is do short to grab items, the mouse click doesnt always register, bottom shelves are bugged so cant alway place items on them. When editing the store it doesnt allow you to place shelves, have to leave the game and go back in. Cleaning some items ie old compass doesnt work. Auctions arent realistic, an ai will bid and about to win, i do a bid then all the other ai will continue bidding but they werent up until i made a bid, they make stupid bids that go over the value of whats in the container. But the biggest issue for me and why i have now gone from thumbs up to thumbs down is that pricing in this game doesnt matter. You get notified daily to adjust prices but it has no affect on sales. I tested this by selling items at $100000, a thermometer should be around $5 but customers were still buying multiple of them at the much higher price, i was able to make over $2m in a day so if they were priced at the maximum of $999999 then youll be making stupid money. Because of that i was able to fully upgrade everything and buy the new stores and vehicles in a day, that took away the feel of progression for me. Thats the biggest flaw in any store sim game, if thats not regulated then theres nothing keeping you playing the game, no sense of achievement, progression, makes it more of a sandbox where the auctions no longer matter. So with all that, its not a game i think i can return to in that current state, still needs alot of work. Not as buggy as alot of the sim games i play and seems well optimised but that for me is all it has going for it right now
This review is based on Update 4, 2026 April. The base idea is good, treasure hunt in abandoned storage units. However the implementation is very weak, there are numerous issues, mostly with the gameplay design. Just a few bigger problems: The skill tree is lackluster. There are only a few skills and you don't even really need them. I didn't even purchase some XP bonus ones and I had negative experience with the Appraisal ones. Appraisal. One of the worst gameplay elements. It should be your character's skill, which you can improve over the game, but instead, it is given to an NPC. You need to visit the NPC, pay a lot of money and then the items get a flag, like "Rare", "Off-Brand", "Unique", etc. These are price modifiers, which sounds good on paper, but you always lose money for this. Why? Because the customers never, ever buy an item for the raised price, they always buy only near the base price. So if you have a Unique Gold Bar, with a +200% price tag, it will never sell for that price. And since you paid a lot of money for the Appraisal, and you can sell it only for the base price, you lose about half the price of the item, instead of raking in a huge profit. Auctions. Again, it is the bare minimum. After you make a bid, there is a receding bar, if it reaches zero, you win the lot. However the buyer NPCs just bid randomly, resetting the bar, driving the price up all the time. The NPCs should have personalities, stats, likes/dislikes, money reserves, etc, but instead they just randomly bid for anything. No hired help. You can have 3 shops, but you are alone. Makes zero sense instantly, especially that you can't close a shop where you sold your items already and travel to another, so you continue to sell that shop's items. When you close the shop, it ends the day. It would be useful to have some helpers to delegate the boring cleaning/fixing minigames to someone too. I unlocked 2 shops so far, but I don't see the point of opening the 3rd one. Clunky price change. It is quite weird at once that the price of everything changes every day. So you are forced in a loop of checking the price of everything you have each day and modify accordingly. It is even worse that this feature is linked to a Scanner device, so you have to scan everything one by one, you can't do it in a list on a computer or something. And to make it even worse, you can change the price in increments of 1, even if the item worths thousands of money. Extreme load times. The game looks generic, yet it takes very long time to load (on SSD) between shops, auctions, etc. It crashes too, during these transitions between locations, once it crashed so badly that I had to use the Power button on my computer, no software solution would work. Sprinkle in some bugs, like you can't buy Large items (Furnitures, etc) currently, because there are simply non-existent in Auctions and you get a game in Early Alpha stage. At least it is cheap, but I don't recommend to buy this game in its current state.
its not a game its a bug manifestation ... not playable , every update ( 5 in total ) made it worse each time .Do not buy it , its not playable at this state , i mean literally , you cant play it as the game basics do not work properly ( auction - cash register etc ) - if you interested , wait ... it may or may not get fixed :)
Despite the negative reviews, I tried this game and am glad that I did. I have encountered no performance issues even running on an older pc, thankfully. It's a lot of fun and actually really quite reminiscent of the world of second hand sales, in which I grew up. It's not perfect by a long shot, and there are some annoyances in the gameplay, sure, but in a way, some of the bugs/weird mechanics make it even more like running your own shop: something disappeared in the van floor or was catapulted into the bin by accident - breakages, the appraiser set the price way beyond what anyone will ever pay - typical in antique stores. I got this game very inexpensively in a bundle, but even the $10 (CAD) at it's highest price would have been worth it. Hopefully, the devs do continue to iron out some of the kinks and make some improvements - this would be a great game, if they did so.
While fun, this game is rather buggy. I tried to power through it because I was having fun but it eventually became unbearable. I had to restart the game numerous times because boxes would get stuck halfway out the car preventing me from progressing to new auctions. The controls in general are difficult to get a grasp on, especially when clicks dont always register. Finally, this is the only game ive ever actually had completely crash on me despite having well above the recommended specifications. Overall, I would definitely come back to this game in the future if it gets some fixes! because as i said, i found it really fun minus the bugs but for now I will unfortunately refund :(
Impossible to make money, all the bots outbid the value of the cargos so your stuck buying and selling crap to slowly loose money while you owe a lot of money to the bank and have a time limit, also still full of bugs, this game has so much potential but now the state its in I cannot recommend it but i will revise my review if you guys fix it :)
This game could be fun but its SOOOOO clunky, it runs terribly, everything you do causes a slight pause, you walk in the shop from your car with a box it takes 3 seconds and all of a sudden it appears correctly in your hands, putting things in your car from the storage container good LUCK if its a big box. Its really unfortunate because the game itself is fun and if someone could replicate this game and make it run smooth you woul have a GREAT sim on your hands. Its super clunky, almost feels like a weird mobile game. I HOPE this game gets a few updates and gets ironed out. May try again in 6 months. Dev please smooth this game out and make it run smooth, this IS the type of sim we want. Maybe add some more methods to repair, like disassembly, replacement of certain parts could be fun, just a green bar mini game is boring and seems lazy. Please dont give this one up.
gra ma tyle błędów że przez zwykłą zmywarkę trzeba zaczynać od nowa bo nie można nic z nią zrobić i psuje całkowicie grę, nie polecam strata pieniędzy
