after 6 days of heads on almost no wind, so anly drifting and taking water, the game is no longer a game but a slog. could be good, but it is not.

failed game, game always lanches in a zoomed in state so you cant even change the res, dead game/money grab dont waste your time its really unplayable

If you are looking for a sailing simulation, this is the game for you. It requires you to learn how to sail small to medium ships, navigate and operate. Sails and Wind are simulated and have to be taken into account, different Sail types will cause the ship to behave differently and everything is customizable. It is frankly the best sailing game i've seen with slow but constant updates. I haven't had such a bad time with the new damage system, but i agree that more customization would be preferable

Loving the game. Would be awesome to play together with a friend as the 3rd tier boat is getting to be a bit much to handle solo

An excellent simulation of sailing, both the good and the bad. Visually great on the boats and water, and I have hopes for the ports as development continues. Worth it for anyone with an interest in sailing.

Lovely game, great execution on the concept, and an active & responsive dev who clearly has a passion for this! I have seen a number of cool mechanics added & performance improvements in my time playing so far. It is a realistic age of sail trading simulator which also lets you freely customize the sail layout of your choice of boat. That's all I needed to know before buying!! I don't know of any equivalent game which does as good a job with sailing & sail handling mechanics, boat choice & customization, and navigation & weather all at the same time. I actually learned celestial navigation as a result of this game! $20 might not get you a sailboat but it will get you Sailwind!!! It's worth it!

One of those rare few games that trust the player and not feel the need to hand hold them. Most games give you a map and a marker on it so you know where to go; this one give you a quadrant points generally at the stars and says good luck, you got this. Worth every penny when you get the rush of dopamine upon sighting land after days with nothing but sea in all directions.

This is a wonderfully relaxing sailing game. There is a lot more simulation here then you might expect, but it isn't too difficult to pick up. The game plays slowly and can be easily played with a show or other media going at the same time. It is begging for native multiplayer, but there are mod options out there that work well enough for now.
