About

Sacred Earth - Reverie is a fantasy JRPG presented in the style of Point and Click games, inspired by JRPGs from the 2000s and 2010s. Explore dungeons, interact with your allies and the townsfolk, build your characters with equipment, abilities, and perks, and test your might against foes in thrilling turn-based combat.
Make peace with the past and embrace the future
In the ashes of a fallen golden age, long following the heroic deeds of the legendary group of heroes known as Illuminate, humanity now fights a seemingly endless war. At its heart stands the Demon Queen. An inscrutable force said to be the enemy of mankind.
After yet another catastrophic campaign ends in broken banners and lost morale, a battle-scarred knight of the Kingdom of Amarcia can no longer stomach the lies swirling about within this conflict. With a single doubt in their mind, they ask themselves: Are they truly fighting for salvation? Is the Demon Queen the monster their noble masters claim her to be?
Casting aside their armor, a lone knight takes up their sword and sets forth into the wilds. Seeking the truth behind the Demon Queen. The truth behind the heroic legacy of Illuminate, and perhaps the truth behind the current era.

Choose between Cain or Abelle to be the protagonist of your journey. They have differing personalities as well as differing dialogue at points. But their stories are the same, so choose who you prefer.

Utilize point and click functions to explore dungeons and study the environment. Seek treasures and interact with your allies to learn more about each other and your surroundings as you advance the story.

A colorful cast of townspeople await in the Town of Istina. Learn about their daily lives, as well as those of your allies, as you pass the times together. Gear up for your next dungeon, take quests, and wind down with amusing conversations and side events.

Engage in speedy turn-based battles against dangerous enemies utilizing various resources. Each character has a unique skill set with special interactions and conditional effects. Learn what each of your allies can do, Chain together Arts for big damage, upgrade your Arts with additional perks, and manage your resources in order to come out on top.

Your actions will decide the fates of these characters. Experience multiple endings depending on how you approach exploration and the story. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden events and interactions. They just may change the course of the narrative in unexpected ways.

First!!! Okay that's good now my actual impressions. I really like a lot of what the game's doing yeah. Biggest highlight for me is easily the battle system, combat and just gameplay in general. I adore the fights. Learning how each character works and putting those knowledge to good use during the boss fights feels so rewarding everytime. The game does a great job at balancing giving players enough tools to feel overpowered yet keeping the difficulty juuust challenging enough that it doesn't feel unfair or leaving you helpless. You'll feel that way during the bonus boss sidequest instead which, hey, that's totally fair of the dev. Nothing but praise on this front. I loooove the gameplay so much ye Everything else about the game are real solid. I enjoy the music a lot. Eclipse Sound Team has always been good at creating the type of Video Game Music that i love which can be best summed up as "Melodic synth-based goodness" a la the JRPGs of SNES-PS2 time. And their work in this game is no different. The visual art style is nice, the stylized art of the characters (especially the assets of the girls, iykyk) can take a bit to get used to but they do their job right ye. I love watching the cast just fool around and interact with each other I do have one major gripe with the game. There is a lore dump and plot twist in the middle of the game that pretty much flipped out everything that's happened in the game so far. Great idea but there's a clunkiness to how this part was executed that frankly lost me on the plot and my emotional investment of the story just went downhill as a result. It's a shame cause i was otherwise onboard with everything that's going on in the story up to that point. In spite of that tho, this game is still worth your time. It's real short for a JRPG too. 10 or so hours of a playthrough for an incredible gameplay, engaging cast, and a kickass soundtrack is a good deal imo. Dunno whether i'll do NG+ or not. I had fun nonetheless with what i got here ye
I just finished my first playthrough of the game, and I got a lot more than I expected. 10/10, Kanna is the only reason why anyone is alive.
I see cute fox, I like. More seriously, a solid indie RPG with interesting battle mechanics and an absolute hate for map exploration that leads to a Riviera-style point and click adventure, which is interesting in its own right. I'm not too aware of the wider Sacred Earth universe as it was, but I'm enjoying this game a lot, and the multiple endings are a good incentive for multiple playthroughs.
This game ended up being a very pleasant surprise when I first booted it up. Gives me old school FF and CT vibes and I am all for it. We need more games like this, keep up the amazing work.
Surprisingly fun so far for a visual novel RPG, would recommend if you enjoy this style of game.
A small fun little thing with cool story and characters, interesting lore and amazing Music
I don't have a clue on what to write for a review since I never leave reviews. I just love this game and want to thank the developers for making it, Leanne and Kanna are my favorites but I enjoyed all the character interactions a lot. Great game 10/10 for me.
A rather good game that is well designed, aside from a few minor gripes such as the bad ending being far too easy to avoid when it seems like your meant to get it first before you go back and continue onwards, also Kanna best wife.
At the time of writing this review, I have not finished this. I had received a fairly early build and was told to just go wild with it. So I did! Overall, I had a wonderful time! I however, was shocked that an seemingly arbitrary dialogue choice dictated which gender of character I played. Once the dev told me how to pick the character I wanted to play, I restarted my entire playthrough. (If you want to play Abelle, the girl, pick the option that says that you're cute) The combat is interesting for a turn based RPG, its a bit different from what I normally know of. The character designs are simple, but striking (i like girls), and every NPC I met was memorable and had their own distinct quirks and personalities that made talking to them again and again worthwhile! I accidentally found a few bugs and broke a few systems by stacking crit chance and made some encounters fairly easy, but the combat itself is unforgiving in some places. If you mess up your buffs or miss your chance to block, you eventually just get womped into the ground (This is not a bad thing though!) I havent had the time to fully dedicate to beating this game, but in the first few hours alone it was enough for me to fall in love and want to learn more about the world and its character.
