Sable's Grimoire: A Dragon's Treasure

Spoilers below for the Endings As one of the 17% of people who have completed the Bad Ending of this game. Don't. [spoiler]The other three endings allow you to get attached to the characters within very easily, along with leading up to the next part of the game. With some nice wholesome moments combined with the different challenges Sable faces, everything is done excellently. I decided to 100% the game. One of the characters involved in the Mid-Late story is Fafnir, a being born from Sable's blood. Their relationship is well written. In the Bad Ending, she's killed, and Sable is left with all of her memories. Her passing words and the visuals brought me to tears. Don't 100% this game if you get attached to characters.[/spoiler] Aside from that, this game is amazing, mostly because I love Drakan and Sable with every fiber of my being. Also get the 18+, it's quite good. Edit: Game isn't dead! It's still getting updates, so trust me, it's a good idea to stick around!

Not just a mere expansion, but a a sequel to the original in it's own right, which is around 8-10 hs long. It you liked the original, and you enjoyed Drakan's route, this takes everything that was good from that route and kicks it up a notch, while giving you even more lore about dragons and the world and [spoiler] even setting up even more sequels! [/spoiler] You won't be dissapointed. Also worth of mention is that, just like in the original game, once you "pick a route" the rest of the world doesn't just "dissapear". You'll see familiar faces from the original game over and over again. I had to say, I only have one mayor complaint about A Dragon's Treasure: Mainly, [spoiler] Sable's attitude during the first half of the game. for the first few hours he keeps denying everything that's going on around him to the point of becoming annoying, threading dangerously close to the typical anime MC. Luckily that attitude starts fading into the background as the game progresses. If you feel the same while reading, keep in mind that it all fits once you reach the end. So don't give up! [/spoiler]

I don't know what it is about the Sable's Grimoire main Game and it's sequels, but for some Reason the world and the story of this game just speaks to me. The music is kinda repetitive and the character sprites aren't as expressive as they are in something like the Fate Visual Novels (though that might be a bit of an unfair comparision, considering Fate series production value). But despite that this is one of, my favorite Visual Novel ever, and I can't wait for more from this series.

The second best of the SG series, only losing to Sable's Grimoire 2! (I mean, that one has Sable's route, you can't win against that) If you liked Drakan, you'll like this. If you, like me, love Sable with all your heart, you will love this one. There's a new character here and kyaaa~! Sable wins so hard here, on so many levels and so many facets of life. HE BLUSHES more than once. Compared to SG1, his sprite literally looks more fat, he did get more meat in his bones! MY MAN KEPT WINNING

A continuation of the Drakan route that feels a bit half baked at times. Evidence of a much grander vision is present throughout, but for what ever reason it was shorted. Along with a lot of tell and not show segments. I get that's not uncommon in a VN, but at least try to meet us half way. Also, the subplot involving Drakan's mother and the necklace just seemed like wasted potential. It's a decent game, but it had so much potential to much greater.

The game is worth the money. It has a basic, yet enticing story line for people who love a good fantasy read.
