Nice continuation of the first story, feels a lot shorter. I'm conflicted on the absence of bad endings like in the first game. I generaly enjoyed the writing.
After finishing one of the routes and still eager to read the rest, I can certifiably recommend this game to anyone that enjoyed the first Sable's Grimoire, which I can recommend to anyone who finds the premise interesting. It's a fun, well-written game with an interesting world to spend your time in!
I love everything you guys do. I went through and purchased all of your sables grimoire content after playing the first game on my friends laptop. Great stuff. Update: Just about to finish my first storyline. It is utterly amazing as always.
Been waiting for this for years! Glad it finally came out! Still peak, for as far as I've read
This is a great sequel to the first. I have only completed one route so far but I loved every second of it. The stories Zetsubou has written in the past have been greatly expanded upon over time after release as well (like the first Sable's Grimoire as an example), and I have little doubt this will be the case for this gem as well.
Some people criticized the lack of romance from sable 2 compared to the 1st, but honestly i haven't felt it is a problem, and i've loved the world building. Vivian Moro is a treat and give me heavy Megumin vibes.
big fan of the first game and got straight into this on,I felt that this game focused a bit too much on runic tools and less on the characters so I was a bit disappointed, however I hope that changes could be made to alter specifically the common route to improve the overall game.
I have been running a (heavy homebrew) D&D campaign inspired by the first game in this Series (Combined with some Not even Bones and Arknights), for several years now, so I think it is safe to say I really enjoyed the first game in Series (and both spin offs). This game is more of the same, which is to say, I also love this second Installment. Though I did get a bit confused in the beginning when I was mixing up actual sables grimoire lore and characters and lore from campaign xD It has a very comfy comdic slice of life vibe, with heavy content thrown in or hinted at every now and then. It reminds me a bit of playing video games as a child, when you would imagine the game to be lot bigger than it actually was, because Sables Grimoire has a world that really invites you (or at least me) to let your imagination extend it beyond the borders of the game. I do wish the game had voice-over, but I realize that paying voice actors for a VN is not feasible for small indie studios.
It was nice to get back to this series. This entry is good. I recommend it.
Solid all around
