Rush Rally Origins

I recommend playing this game with a joystick; otherwise, the overall experience may be affected. Before this game, I played Rush Rally 3, so I expected something similar. At first, I was unpleasantly surprised when I realized that this game is not really like a rally game—at least not for me. In the beginning, I didn’t like the top-down camera view, and the car physics also didn’t feel very good. I didn’t feel like I was playing a rally game at all. After about an hour of playing, I even wanted to refund it because it wasn’t that enjoyable for me. However, I kept playing, and once I understood the game better and learned how to play it, it actually became fun. I do recommend the game because it started to entertain me, and it’s not a bad game, but I would definitely wait for a discount—I wouldn’t pay full price for it. One small note for the developers: in the lap-based mode against AI opponents, I encountered two strange bugs. The first one happens at the start—sometimes the game doesn’t register that I’ve started the lap, and it only counts it when I begin the second lap. Because of that, my opponents are one lap ahead of me. Restarting the race usually fixes this. The second bug happens sometimes in the middle or near the end of the race. For example, when I was leading the standings, let’s say on lap seven, at a random checkpoint the AI that was in second place suddenly appeared ahead of me in the standings, with no way to catch up. As a result, I always finished second. This happened quite often.
