About
Have you ever dreamt about a world where you don't need to follow arbitrary rules of your favorite card game? Like, making turns, or use a finite amount of manaenergyAP or whatever. If you answered "yes" then I have a treat for you :)
RUNGORE is heavily inspired by Slay The Spire and Loop Hero. It takes all the good parts from those games and smashes them together until they stick.
Idle battles. Your hero and enemies act simultaneously, so timing your moves will be crucial in many situations. Being able to strategize is cool and all, but can you do it quickly?
Non restricted card-play. Have you ever wanted to play 100 cards during one encounter? Well, now you can. Have fun ^-^
Randomized journey. The game is devided into levels, but you will encounter different events, get different gear, artifacts and potions that will make every run unique

Single player is a quite enjoyable experience, coop is a mess, do not buy the game for coop at least not yet lol

Wonderful game, but difficult. A real time fighting game you use cards as weapons or shields. You pick a hero, choose a few cards from a pool, and decide which cards to use now and which to save for the next battle. There are some interesting cards, some create combos and poison for both sides, but parasites are the worst. I can’t beat the lab level. They keep cloning and adding monsters to defeat. Each hero is unique with their own set of cards and way to attack, creating completely different feelings and strategies. I unlocked them one after another, and the new hero is indeed stronger than the last. Before the muscle guy it was the exhausted guy. Enemies are interesting, too. The most unforgettable ones might be the slime keeps splitting like matryoshka dolls, and the group of four monsters must all be defeated within a short time, otherwise they revive each other. You also encounter events along the way, as an outcome you might get a full deck, or it could lead straight to death. The actual play is serious and difficult, but the dialogue is mostly humorous. I also like that in the store, after you buy
communism
all upgrades will become free. I laughed out, very true, its core tenet is the abolition of private property, so all members collectively own the means of production, the distribution of goods or wealth. Fun in concept, but it isn't really what it makes it self out to be. I tried the demo a bunch and thought it was okay, but I thought the game would be better based off of the reviews. It was a lot better than the demo thankfully, but it's not the deck builder vibe-thing it sets it out to be, its more of a resource management auto battler. Which is fine, it's just not what I was hoping. Cards get deleted the moment you play them, which means in order to do combos or be strategic, you have to horde cards for the right moment, and if you mess up, it's tough luck. Lastly its very RNG dependent. Many characters have instant revive attacks that just keep reviving, which is stuff since you can't tell when they'll stop reviving, you don't know when to use your cards. Some times I've died from having no block, but the card rewards never gave me any. Card rewards can also give you worse options (Offering wood armor when you have diamond, ect.) completely eliminating a choice. They do have a fun quick to choose event system though. Lastly boss relics are super fun, but they are either: - Do a bijillion damage when you get block! - Revive once per fight! (Up to 10 times a floor) Or - Deal a bit more damage - Have a 10% higher chance to crit on attacks. Which kind of reduces the fun choice of picking one since some are obviously better.
GREAT COOP UPDATE; its liteerally unplayable.
