Runes is a unique puzzle game where you need to arrange the marbles in each and every level to match the picture in the upper-right corner. The less moves you use to do that, the more stars you'll earn.

I liked pretty much everything I can think of about this game. The visuals as well as the soundtrack are pleasing, navigating the menus is very smooth as are the controls. The difficulty ramps up nicely, although it didn't feel strictly linear to me. The two levels I just could not beat and required outside help were levels 39 and 115. Some others took me quite a few tries and provided a nice challenge. One minor complaint would be the missing option for the sound ingame. I had to go to the Windows volume mixer to adjust it. Which wasn't a huge deal by any means. It would just be a little bit more elegant to have this option available in some game menu. Also, there were some levels that felt more like filler to me because they were just too straightforward. Overall a definite recommendation for everyone who likes puzzle games!
I don't kno what exactly has gone wrong, but I don't have fun with this. Feels so boring like if it was work to do, just without getting paid. I quite easily went through 12 levels but I didn't have fun. Yes it might exercise your brain if that is what you seek, and it has ok graphics, and it dind't crash, but that's all to it. And if I went through those levels in less than 2 minutes per level, it means it is also very short game, with 120 levels altogether (4h altogether), but for the low price that would be ok. Except the missing fun, there is also missing sound volume control and no music selection. I cannot understand how anyone can create game with sound and music and not let users control it. Can you imagine that you would buy a radio and you would not be able to adjust volume? This is hard to understand. I believe it is pretty easy to create such control so I have no understanding for this. Some developer's thinking puzzles me really. This looks maybe more like succesful test of working core for a game that no one neither invented yet, nor developed for real market release yet.
Неплохая головоломка!!!
Runes is a simple, lazy minimalist 2D mobile app-like placement/pathing puzzle game where you're presented with a picture showing the target alignment of balls, and you must move the balls around to fit that target. Two catches... as the screenshots show, the balls move in only one direction, so you need to plan out how they move carefully, and you also have just a limited number of moves. And just like a crappy mobile app, if you get it right, you get 1-3 "stars", so the developer clearly designed this game for mobile peasants and their iPhones, and not PC gamers and their gaming rigs. So this is a problem already. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game features extremely lazy, minimalist "art", of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but I wasn't able to find it on the app stores. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes "Runes" might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Runes didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for starting the game, but only around 33 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game. The poor quality of this game is also reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 5 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Runes is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. Because this is the kind of game you can just play for free on mobile phones, it's impossible to recommend anyone should pay money for the same experience on Steam.
Годный пазл для любителей годных пазлов. Не знаю зачем купил, но возвращать не стану ) Может дождливым вечером пригодится
