I really like this game, I may not play the game again but that is simply because my type of game is something where I can move around in different ways (like rain world) but that doesn't mean this game is bad. I loved the story and I found it fun to bully STEVE a little bit with CPU so that was nice. I wish there was more recognition for this game :)

This is the type of game you can't really judge until you've completed a playthrough 100%. Keep that in mind when reading reviews. >RUN TAVERNQUEST is a thoughtful, engaging, oft-hilarious homage to old-school text adventure games (and fantasy/adventure in general). The writing and world-building are excellent - everything is tight and relevant. The voice acting is perfect ([i]"Steeeeeve???"[/i]). And the game doesn't wear out its own welcome, clocking in at about 3 hours. It's very sweet but not saccharine, which is a hard line to walk. It also delves into philosophical questions of meaningfulness, resilience, integrity, and authenticity. If you're a fan of text adventure games, I highly recommend giving TAVERNQUEST a try.

I didn't have high expectations for this game, I frankly just love text based adventures and story based games and was excited to a see an inventive twist on both genres with controller support, as I just got a new one to play steam games with. This game far exceeded my wildest hopes for it. It was so touching and full of emotional depth and I went from underestimating and resenting Steve in the beginning to feeling so protective and proud of him in the end. This is the kind of game everyone should experience at least once, and was well worth the price point. My only wish is that it was longer!
