About
A group of unsuspecting tourists has crashed their van into a long-forgotten pyramid, and now there’s no turning back. As they venture deeper into the tomb, they’ll face dangers lurking around every corner—but the biggest threat of all? The ancient pharaoh himself, come back to exact his revenge!
As a tourist, you’ll only have your ultra-powerful camera to protect you from the denizens of the pyramids. Your camera can charge up a blinding flash to trigger deadly traps, destroy scarabs, and even stun mummies—if you can hold out long enough. The longer you charge it, the more powerful the flash becomes, but the mummies close in fast! Will the camera charge in time, or will you be overwhelmed?
Outrun the Mummies: Fast-paced gameplay keeps the action moving and the stakes high. Run away from mummies to avoid damage, or stand still to charge your camera and feel your heart racing as enemies close the gap.
Outsmart the Mummies: Master your environment to trap or destroy the mummies pursuing you.
Diverse Mechanics: New enemies and traps are introduced every few levels to keep the gameplay fresh all the way to the end.
Unique Characters: From a rollerblader to a drone operator, find and unlock new characters with unique abilities, movement, and cameras.
Loads of Content: We made this game bigger than we should have - there are 112 levels, each of which takes 2-5 minutes. Expect over 20 hours of gameplay to enjoy your first time through!
Challenge Modes: Elevate your heart rate with a time attack mode, or layer on incrementally hard difficulty options that fundamentally change the way you interact with the levels.
Take it Easy: For those who want a more scenic experience, there are a several options for bringing the difficulty down dramatically. Play at your own pace!
Play through the entire campaign solo, or grab some friends to play together! Up to 4 players can play the entire game locally, or remotely using Steam Remote Play. Embrace the chaos of escaping mummies as a full tour group, and laugh at your friends as they run into traps!

I've been following this game for a while now, I played the demo and I've chatted to the devs and I really think they've created such a fun game. The gameplay seems pretty simple but having the enemies there to throw you off really means you have to work on a strategy to get through each level. The level design is really fun and the different types of traps have all caught me out at least once. The game is also way bigger than I thought it would be too and there's tons of replayability. Co-op is also ridiculously fun as are the mini games (although the might end some friendships!). Definitely a game to pick up if you're looking for some light hearted fun, some puzzles, laughs and a few tiny jumpscares :)
A fun puzzle-exploration game to play with friends on the couch. Lots of fun and surprising uses for the camera. Game difficulty ramps up at a steady pace. But I like how when someone dies, the game continues and they can still contribute. We’re having fun playing together!
Excelente jogo, divertido, emoção e coração disparado quando você se vê cercado de múmias, escaravelhos, e ainda precisa fotografar os artefatos fugindo do boss e não caindo em armadilhas! Recomendadíssimo!
Fast-paced dungeon crawl with so many different ways to play. Half the fun is trying out different playable characters that totally shift your feel and playstyle. Couldn't put the thing down
Great game! Lots of fun and not like many other games out there!
This game is awesome, I'm shocked to see such a well-polished, original indie for this price that's flown so completely under the radar. I've played mostly in offline mode on the steam deck, so the hours I've played aren't accurate. I probably have around 5 hours at this point and it's grown on me a lot. Run From Mummies is very well-polished and put-together, the collection is satisfying, the unlocks are compelling, and the setting makes for a really nice dungeon-crawling like experience that puts a bigger focus on positional strategy rather that combat. The moment-to-moment gameplay is super smooth and you can tell the devs put their heart into this one with how cohesively the package comes together. 10/10 indie, I'd highly recommend this for anyone looking for a more casual, light-hearted dungeon crawler, especially since this stands on its own mechanically.
Most fun couch co-op game I've played in years. Super fun solo too
Its an absolutely amazing Game. Lots of Love, great artstyle, amazing devs, fun gameplay. You can play with friends (only 1 person needs the game) i can 100% recommend it
I’m halfway through the second area of this debut game from Lost Turnip and just… wow. The opening cut scene is hilarious, and the graphics and animations are very creative and well-executed. I was a little overwhelmed at first with all the options, but there are helpful tutorials and guides available as you make your way around. The story of your journey through this 2D dungeon crawler is very imaginative and fun. I liked how you could unlock and play different characters with varying abilities, and could form teams. I haven’t done the teams yet but imagine it would be helpful to have a musclebound partner like Brick to punch out those pesky mummies chasing after you. The puzzles are very clever and the game mechanics are solid. You definitely want to use a controller rather than a keyboard though. I’m a little stuck in the current area, but apparently you can adjust the difficulty or your ability levels to help get through tougher levels. I haven’t tried that yet since I’m hoping to figure out this challenging level in normal mode. And the gameplay can be challenging. Anyone into a dungeon crawler that’s less dark and that has a better story than Diablo will enjoy this game, as will players who like a good challenge.
I could list many, MANY things I like about this game but I still with the most important. The Characters are amazing, there's MANY to pick from with their own abilities. The level design is VERY smooth. Smooth being they're easy to navigate, and they flow well, especially if you're speedrunning. Great enemy Variety. BOSS BATTLES! Story (And voice acting!) Story is very good, surprisingly has a few dark moments for such a fun game, but nothing incredibly dark. Ricardo is the best character IMO. All around I had a great time. I don't really have any complaints honestly, once you get the mechanics down, this game is fantastic!
