super cute, super simple and fun! The 2d side scroller beat-em-up gameplay is quick and fun, juggling enemies is so satisfying here. I love the designs and all the effects are amazing. I highly recommend this indie gem <3
There is a huge amount of dog in this game, even the soundtrack barks. Solid brawler with bonus pug drop-kicking.
I got my ball back and I am now top dog

Although it's short and frustrating at times, Ruff City is a cute beat em' up that is definitely worth your time.
a cute beat em up with lots of charm - short but sweet! the bosses are surprisingly challenging as well so learning their move-sets will take you a bit. The sprites and backgrounds are really well done and a big part of the charm. the combat is simple but pretty fun! well worth the price!
Fun little beat em up title with a cute art style. Quick and simple, just a short good time worth the askin' price
A solid little indie brawler with a charming art style. Ruff around the edges but it doesn't bite. This is what I'd point some people to if they are unfamiliar with brawlers/beat'em'ups, and want to play a cute game about dogfighting. Like dogs fighting, not the other kind. I kinda wish hitting ESC would bring up the menu, but that's a small gripe, and as someone who doesn't really play beat'em'ups often, I picked it up easily.
we need more KONG representation in the video game industry. kudos to "Ruff City" for contributing to this cause!
Ruff City is a treat to play. It's short and sweet, and manages to be a pleasure to play from start to finish. The controls are simple to grasp, so anyone can jump in and experiment with the tools on offer. Although the jump is a tad low, there's few times where it becomes a detriment. The visuals are very nice. I enjoy the art style and character design. The music is also enjoyable. It gets you in the mood to punch some guys. (In the game, that is.) There's not much I dislike. Although being able to pick between the two characters in single player would be nice, that's barely an issue. My only real complaint is that like many snacks, I'm left hungry for more. I recommend this game to anyone looking for a bite sized beat 'em up. I'm eager to see what's next.
It's a retro styled beat-em-up with cute art, catchy tunes, and all around decent bones. That said I feel like it needs a little more time in the oven. The difficulty curve feels kinda steep, given I'm bad at video games, but I struggled a bit with the first boss. I feel like some kind of dodge roll ability would really help diversify the flow of combat instead of just standing and blocking everything. All said though I did enjoy what I played of it, it's a cute little game that's got a lot of soul. I'd recommend checking it out.
