About
Dive Into the Addictive World of RotoBrix!
Get ready for the ultimate puzzle game mashup that will test your reflexes, strategy, and nerves! RotoBrix combines the best of falling-blocks gameplay with match-3 mechanics, creating an electrifying challenge where every move counts. Match, stack, and survive—before the Brix overwhelm the playfield!
How Far Can You Go?
Rotate and slide your falling stacks of three Brix to set up matches and score big. Line up three or more Brix to clear them, reduce your Brix Left counter, and climb to the next level. Every five levels unlock a new stage, each with exciting twists: fresh Brix types, powerful abilities, and new challenges.
Unleash Powerful Abilities!
Think you’ve mastered matching? Step up your game! Match four or more Brix in one move to unlock abilities that can turn the tide:
Bomb: An explosive solution to clear the clutter—obliterate blocks in one massive blast!
Hourglass: Slow down time and plan your next move with precision.
Randomizer: Shake up the field by scrambling block colors.
But beware—higher stages introduce carbon fiber Brix that can’t be matched, forcing you to rethink your strategies. Only bombs can save you from the chaos!
Why You'll Love RotoBrix
Four difficulty levels: Whether you're a casual gamer or a hardcore puzzle fan, there's a challenge waiting for you.

Reviews
always a bad sign when a game starts with a literally explosive logo before letting people adjust the audio. there are separate volumes after, a colorblind toggle, a selection of 4 unexplained difficulties, resolution options and a windowed mode toggle, plus a reset high scores option. it's local only and isn't separated by difficulty, so while it took about 20 minutes to reach 100k on easy, I got 112k in about 15 seconds on level 5 on ultra. settings are only available from the main menu, another disappointment. it's tetris, everybody knows the drill, but the instructions section explains things. match a certain number of blocks to move on, there are 5 stages per level. controls aren't rebindable, left/right moves, up/down rotates not the always vertical piece but the colors, space soft drops (gotta hold for more), esc/p pauses (resume and quit are the only options there). larger combos fill the charge meter, only then can powers be used: 'c' randomizes colors, 'v' slows time, 'b' is a bomb. charges can be stockpiled, don't have to wait for another fill between uses. the always animated background can be changed with comma, the music with period. would've made sense to have next and previous for both and for them to be selectable from the menu as well, not just in the heat of the moment, plus an always necessary static background option. best to avoid inducing vomiting and migraines among your playerbase, even if there isn't one in this case. another thing missing is a toggle for the really distracting score pop-ups. all in all, it's not a pleasant experience and I don't even have motion sickness. I don't mind the 90s shareware aesthetic but the game doesn't look great. the music's decent at least. it doesn't save on exit, nor does your score count that way, quit and you won't get a chance to enter your initials. stage select is a thing, can start from a higher one next time with more power-ups and colors unlocked, and a faster pace, of course. tetris is a throwaway thing for me, play one until I get bored, try a different one next time, and this being very basic and lacking didn't hold my interest for long. this is the first and only review, not a single patch or anything since release back in november 2019 either, but there was an announcement about an upcoming update in december 2024, a mere 5 years later. promised controller and steam deck support, bugfixes and difficulty balancing, no mention of rebindable controls. doesn't sound like it's gonna happen anyway, silence ever since, except a discount during the 2025 summer sale. only the third overall, with the first at launch and another around the announcement. I picked it up for less than a dollar instead of 6 bucks and still don't think it was worth it.
