For me this game was challenging but not impossible. In contrast to many recent games that give you a quest marker, which you will, most likely, blindly follow without any thought, Rosemary's Fate requires you to use spacial awareness and sound cues to find your way around the environment. There were some times that required me to burst out the pen and paper and jot down some of the trickier level layouts, but once you realise how the game works you will have an easier time going though it and enjoying the story. Compared to some let's plays, I ended my playthough fairly quickly, but I have to say it required lots of thinking on my behalf, and was a fairly challenging exercise in spacial thinking. The only negative I can think of, outside of the character's accents (Which I got over fairly quickly) is that you can see the fairly experimental nature of this game. It is one of the first games of it's kind and still has a long way to go before being a fully fledged video game genre. Still, I can feel the storytelling potential behind this type of gameplay and I will be waiting for chapter 2.
Gameplay: To chyba najważniejszy punkt.
I was asked to review this and have to say I found it really interesting and enjoyable! It takes on a completely new way of playing due to the near complete lack of visual prompts to follow the story. It's unique style of using sounds to navigate around the levels was really enjoyable. The game made you really think about what the sounds were representing and where you needed to move to. I also found the story very compelling and really cannot wait to see where it takes you in the next chapters! As a streamer the only downside is the lack of visuals but with perhaps some tweaking and maybe adding a little more to cut scenes this may make it better for that. However the game is great to enjoy and play otherwise! Not sure on how much re playability it would have though. But definately recommend to play this game even just once!
Reviewed this game for the devs on stream and I got to say, I'm a fan of the soundtrack. I like the niche feel the game is presenting with practically NO visuals/Graphics to go off of aside from the occasional still picture to help set the scene. Story is interesting enough for me to be interested to see where the next chapters lead. That said, as a streaming Gamer, this isn't exactly a "stream able" game, however it is a new and interesting concept. Some minor tweeks could be made, maybe some varying paths which could lead to replay ability, something it is currently lacking. Aside from recieving this game for free I have received no other form of compensation for any review given.
An audiogame that seems to be aiming at a different genre, which makes a refreshing change. Some of the accents are a little strong and it is not always clear what you need to do to progress things. From what I can make out the game is still not a hundred percent complete, so it may be worth checking out the demo first. The ambient sounds are good and I did manage to progress through at a reasonable pace. I would still recommend this to support the Devs , it's always good to see new audiogames appearing on Steam. Support the Devs give this one a whirl, it's decent game despite a few rough endges. Use keyboard the controller support is a little clunky.
I have been asked to play and review this game. I have to say I really enjoyed Rosemary’s fate. It is an audio-based game that has practically no visuals/graphics. You really have to listen to what sounds you need to follow to reach your goal. You have to use your spatial awareness to sense where and what direction you need to go. I used headphones and I would recommend if you were to play this. Like most games I did find Rosemary’s Fate quite challenging as it can be frustrating when you feel you have tried every avenue however when you finally find it there is a sense of accomplishment. The story is incredibly compelling, and the end of the first chapter has left me wanting more. Rosemary’s Fate is an incredibly unique game that I have never had the experience of playing and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As a Streamer I do not believe this game would be very stream friendly. The reason being lack of visuals, and you really need to listen carefully for the sounds, and this may not be possible during stream as you will be talking and interacting with chat. It may be worth a try though.
I bought out of curiosity how to play audio games. Surprised. First, the atmosphere of the game. I did not expect that you can achieve so much with sounds. I even forgive the creators for the voice actors. They could be better, but the other sounds and music are really good. Second, the story. At the beginning, mysterious voices, teleport and the like. But then the story gets less and less obvious. I can already see several possible endings to this adventure. But I'm not sure about any of them. And for that a big plus for the creators.
Gra jest świetna! Brakuje mi tylko języka polskiego i bardzo żałuję, że go nie ma.. Byłoby super jakby kiedyś się pojawił polski dubbing ;). Bardzo by to ułatwiło grę osobom niewidomym w Polsce. Za jakiś czas pojawi się seria na kanale Kushina Games.

In 2019, an American man named Thomas travels to Owińska, Poland, with his friend Mary to investigate a mystery surrounding her ancestry. At the archives of a former psychiatric hospital, they compare an old photograph Mary possesses from 1938 with the official historical copy. They discover a chilling anomaly: a little girl is present in Mary's photo but completely absent from the official records. Suddenly, a paranormal disturbance engulfs them, and Thomas is violently pulled through time, awakening in the same building in 1939, just as Nazi forces begin the horrific Aktion T4 massacre to exterminate the hospital's patients. Trapped in the past, Thomas locates the mysterious girl from the photograph, whose name is Rose. Despite the language barrier, the two share a telepathic bond, allowing them to understand each other's thoughts perfectly within the haunted, psychic environment of the hospital. Guided by a spectral cat named Blinky, Thomas acts as Rose's protector, using stealth and his adult strength to help the terrified child navigate past armed Nazi soldiers, solve environmental puzzles, and seek an escape route out of the deadly facility. Their harrowing escape attempt reaches a climax when they are cornered by a German soldier near the river. In the ensuing chaos, the timeline fractures again, By helping Rose escape the massacre, trapping them in a tragic loop of time and survival. Auditory tension: The fear does not come from stereotypical visual jump scares, but from the rushed footsteps in the dark space, the wind howling through broken windows, or the character's own heavy breathing while crawling through narrow underground tunnels. Rosemary's Fate is a hidden gem for those who love the interactive detective novel genre mixed with time travel elements. By combining an excellent multi-dimensional story with gameplay that heavily emphasizes audio accessibility, the game delivers a distinct immersive experience, where your ears are your sharpest guiding eyes. This game is truly a unique experience, The storyline of Rosemary's Fate does not follow a linear path at all, but is rather a complex yet captivating maze. The biggest highlight of the plot is the perfect intersection between the timelines (1939 and 2019) along with the concept of the "Midworld" dimension.7
Audiobook as a game? Yes!
A very interesting way to participiate in audiobook, not just by taking a role of a main character, but becoming his ears. You will need to navigate fully blindly, relying only on surrounding sounds and guiding melody. Sometimes it could be a bit challenging, so be sure to use your headphones! Game has done great work with sounds and especcialy with music. Only a little downside is lacking visuals, although this is fully sound based game, it has some visual illustrations like other novel-like games. Overall, it is a good and intersting story to play if you have spare 1 hour, and considering it's price this game is atleast worth a shot.
