It's fun using the individual parts to make bigger machines, and very satisfying watching a working machine after completing one

The game is awesome, its a really unique take on the automation genre and feel different than the other stuff out there! I'd love it if there was a block that you could walk on, but it let items fall through! Great game dev :)

[NB. my playtime is ~20 hours on the pre-Steam version] This is one of the most interesting and unique games ever made. It's basically a 2D factory game where your resources are infinite, but it's up to you to automate their extraction, and production. You're encouraged to try and design complex contraptions with moving belts, pistons, light beams, magnets etc., to automate more and more difficult tasks. There's incredible depth here, but it comes with one frustration: it's really hard to guess in which order and direction the physics engine will apply forces, so intuition or a real understanding of physics is not enough to design many types of contraption - you need to rote learn *exactly* how the physics engine behaves.
