ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN

The setting, the characters, the visuals and the soundtrack are all just as expected great. There are so many creative and absurd ideas that I was always excited to see whats coming next. Sadly, I think the gameplay is a bit weaker than in other Suda51 and Grasshopper games. It is satisfying to fight through enemies and watch the blood splatter, but aside from a few exceptions, it became a bit dull for me after a while. The older games did a better job in that regard. But overall, I still had a good time.

Suda doesn’t really do "polished" or "mainstream," but his stuff is so unhinged it just burrows into your skull. You’re left wondering what kind of fever dream he had to have to actually build some of this.

Romeo is a 10/10 man.

Like any good Suda 51 game either you have the brainworms to let it change your life or it passes by as an OK game. Watch the trailer and buy it if the vibe appeals to you. This is a game that blows you away with its vision and art direction- the game mechanics are fun but not what sets it apart.

Fun game but too confusing for me

ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN вызывает весьма спорные ощущения, но в итоге могу поставить игре 7/10: интересная идея, которая обернута в такую себе реализацию, начиная от геймплея (на большую часть пушек можно смело забить так как дефолтные меч и пистолет справляются очень хорошо; огромная разница между сложной и средней сложностями, будто первая задумывалась уже когда игрок будет на нг+, судя по урону примерно всех врагов, а завалить босса это прямо испытание; расстановка врагов сосет бибу и впринципе игра любит закинуть толпу бомжей и примерно столько же элиток; у обычной хавки смысла нема), заканчивая левелдизайном (бесстыжий реюз трех коридоров и пары комнат в дурке это сильно + глава, косящая под дурку впринципе самая слабая; дезигн сабспейса вызывает вопросы так как ориентироваться в нем моментами тяжело, не говоря уж о нахождении секреток). оптимизация +- существует с учетом того что это анрил, но главное что у меня есть очень и очень стабильные ~80-100 FPS (в зависимости от локации). а так ну сойдет один раз пройти

SUDA51 and team deliver your next favourite 7/10! As a huge SUDA51 fan, and Grasshopper in general, this is such a huge treat to play. This will NOT be to everyone's tastes but if this is the sort of experience you like, you may just fall in love. Is it perfect? Absolutely not, but I am so glad it exists, that I got to play it and that Grasshopper are out here still making games as weird, wonderful and wacky as ever in a sea of same-same experiences. On performance, it can be rough. Expect some huge FPS drops even when nothing you can see would warrant it. My performance seemed better after the first patch but do adjust your expectations. The game can also be pretty unbalanced and straight up unfair so do not be tempted by the harder difficulty on a first play through and be smart with your gear upgrades/loadout.
